Sorry guys. I remembered wrong. Then, I am happy to correct my statement in: the video confirms also the correctness  of the Mexico '67 program cover introduced in the Mexico_multiseason_update. It is always good to know.

We see the authenticity of your wonderful 67 Historical Mod in action in Solana's home movie, Gianfranco !

Did you add the tires on the multiseason version? Hopefully :D

Of course! :)
For 65-67 years I add tires. In reality tires were placed much closer to one another. I kept same gap as Papyrus used. Also on real track tires were placed along the white line. Papyrus placed their tires in the middle between white line and asphalt edge. Because I didn't want to move all papy tires I placed new tires like Papyrus did. But there is still one thing missing from the track. There was armco wall on the right side of turn 3. I don't know how to make it.

Also I worked on 69 version. There are also missing curbs in turns. But there is another problem. In 1969 last turn Peralta still had tires on inside part, there were no curbs. I asked Paul Skingley about building files for multiseason update. But he lost them. So now I'm thinking on how to return tires to Peralta without overloading track 3do.

Great race this one, thx for sharing. Shame Gurney's Eagle radiator broke at the start, crashing against Clark's Lotus. Liked the fact that after the race, Clark ran to apologise Gurney for the accident, Clark was always gentle :)

thks Dave and alls

the footage is a good testimony of Moises Solana capabilities, because with far less mileage practice at the wheel of powerful cars (only a few USRRC races with a McLaren M 1 B that year ) , he was ahead of some regular F1  season drivers .
And the first Lotus 49 wasn't an easy chassis to get the hand on it

His  death :missing:  was a tragic loss  for mexican motor sport in an obscure Mexican race few years after. He could have show his potential in a regular season.

Strange, I was positive I typed a reply in this thread a few days ago but I cant find it, I must have not pressed the Post button, doh...

Anyway, great footage find again, davef!

In terms of the layout of the track, Mexico City in GPL is almost perfect - I overlayed the GPL layout onto Google Earth a few years ago, and virtually every corner radius was spot on - the only one that I couldn't check was the tightening T1 right hander, as most of it is under a housing estate now :(

So here is my small update. It's not final version. I placed 80 additonal tires. I tried to make new groove but everytime there was bad clipping at hairpin. So I left original for now. If someone can make new groove it will be great.

To use this files you need multiseason Mexico update. Please make backup of lp files, all track.ini files and mexico.3do, mexico.365, mexico.366. There is backup files in archive but in case you have another versions of this files it's better to make backup. Then add all files from archive's mexico folder to your tracks/mexico folder. Thats all.
