Greg has raced with us at VOR and other leagues for a long time. He was always an avid competitor and added a lot to our events. There were cars that he drove very well – usually the original 67 cars and when you found yourself dicing with him you were treated to a very fair battle.
I had the privilege of meeting Greg at the Indianapolis F1 race in 2007. A friendlier, more even tempered and optimistic person you’ll never meet. He had a physical handicap that made his competitive Sim driving even more remarkable. He had use of only one arm.
Greg told me about a motorcycle accident in his 20s where he was the victim of a hit and run driver who had left him for dead. One of his arms was terribly damaged and he suffered burn injuries too. Over time, he had surgery to try to repair the nerves in his arm but it seems that left him in great and constant pain without any improvement of his arm function.
He had a full life with his wife Mary caring for him and told me of various occupations including being a Minister. He was very religious and although, as an Atheist, I didn’t share that with him, we had some good talks about spirituality.
He was a great guy who will be missed greatly by all of us.

very sad news to hear of Greg's passing
Him & I had many great races at the back of the pack in VOR
He'd had confided in me about his accident & handicap which I never told anybody about
He lived about 2hours drive away from me & we never got to meet.
Rest In Peace my friend We will miss you
