I use a G27 wheel in all of my racing games on a PC. I have always managed, after the initial adjusting to a new game, to get the wheel set as I like it.
In GPL I am not so successful; even after trying different set ups posted on various forums. I am new to GPL and think it is a terrific sim' and have enjoyed feeling my way in the game...downloaded half a dozen tracks and they work great. One of the tracks I downloaded was Castlecoombe...it is not too far from where I live. It was a nightmare to drive; much worse than the others and so I concentrated on mastering it. My G27 was behaving very strangely; I kept losing any force feed back in the center of the wheel travel and the back end sliding out etc. Eventually with the addition of GEM+ and the Logitech software, I got so that I could drive the car ok round the track. I then took every car round the track and all of them drove ok. I drive with no assists at all except (while I am feeling my way around) the damage mode which is set at non. I have been playing the game for a few days now with no problems, until today (at Monza) when all the problems reappeared. Tried other tracks and just as bad.

Here are my settings that worked for a while!       Logitech Software: Overall effects. Strength 107%.
                                                                          "        "    Spring   107%.
                                                                          "        "    Damper 107%.
                                                                                        Steering wheel Rot' 600 degrees.
Allow game to adjust settings (YES)
GEM+ settings: Enable Hack.
               Enable FFB.
               Latency .013.
               Damping 24.
               Force 103.
I hope someone can come up with the answer; I am not the worlds greatest PC boffin and I am lost for ideas.
A big thank you in advance for any help.

For GPL and other Papyrus sims set Spring and Dumper to 0. GPL dose not need it. They only damage all feelings.

Well it turned out my original settings were not too far off. I changed the wheel rotation from 600 deg' to 395 deg' and things behaved again...this was of course in the 67 season.
Downloaded the 69 season and was up against the same erratic movements of the wheel...had to go through the whole trying out process again; it took me several hours in total...finally got a decent setting that is totally different to the 67 season settings.

Strength: 107%
Spring: 107%
Damper: 107%
Wheel Rotation: 395 deg'

Gem+ settings.
Disable hack.
Enable FFB.
Latency: .013
Damping: 376
Force: 202

I somehow think that these settings are a bit odd; as they are so different from the 67 Season settings...I am not complaining though; as I am just grateful I found a stable setting!

I did notice that the Damping and the Force seem to have the reverse affect in the Gem+ ini. settings?...don't know why that is.

Thanks for the feedback all.
