There are two articles concerning Jim Clark on Peter Windsor's website - http://peterwindsor.com/.
Look at 06 and 07.

Wonderful memories.

Thanks for the link Paddy.

It's amazing that a man so self effacing ever became a racing driver. Has any other racing driver ever asked "Why are the others so slow?".

For anyone who hasn't seen "Jim Clark - The Quiet Champion"

The thing that REALLY struck me in the Peter Windsor articles was Jim's apparent cluelessness on ordinary roads

He is still my hero though.

The "Quiet Champion" was great. I can't believe I never saw it before.

In Jim's honor. I'm going to run a full 65 Championship. It was his most impressive year. I'll turn his speed up high. The last thing I want to do is beat him. That wouldn't be simulating anything. :)

Thanks for posting this excellent article Paddy!, managed to find "The Men" by Barry Gill a few years ago, picked it up again recently & decided to start with the final chapter "Tribute to a Lost Leader" think the the final paragrath pretty much sums up the "Genius" that was Jim Clark.

"He gave much to a world stultified by red tape and welfare. He wove dreams for the traffic - jam bound businessmen. He was a charioteer and a cavalier in a mechanised world that demanded and receieved precision, patience and perfection. He had hours of glory, days of travel and years of rich experience.

Who is to say that life must be measured solely by it's span and it's ending - and not by it's fullness and fulfilment?"....... .-The Men, The World's Grand Prix Drivers Examined in Depth, Barrie Gill, Leslie Frewin Publishers, 1968
