This is my (almost) correct Le Mans Bugatti 1967 historical carset add-on for GPL67. The only exception is the BRM of Stewart which instead of being a P261-V8 is a P83-H16.

In a similar way of my other historical graphical carsets, this includes HR car skins with the numbers used at the French GP at Le Mans Bugatti in 1967, specific mechanical parts, my faces & helmets collection,  new car cams and some other textures to match colours and realism. I made darker green the works GPLEA Cooper and less bright the original Nino Garage Ferrari skins and added the texture to be compatible with the most recent HR cockpit add-ons of J. Seller. It includes or updates the mip for objects in the mirrors of Bj√∂rn, Mikey and NES. It includes the drvc67 file to be dropped in the bugatti track folder, with the original Le Mans Bugatti 67 entry list.

Furthermore it includes, for the first time, a specific GEM file to swap from one graphical carset to another in GEM (see included instructions: GPL HISTORICAL 1967). :new2:

As usual, most of the credits go to the original textures creators (GPLEA, JackSeller, Nino Garage and Van Gossum) and to the entire GPL community who has produced and shared so many graphical improvements, utilities and knowledge to keep this game/simulator still so interesting, inspiring and enjoyable.  Special thanks to Greg Liebzeit and team for the brabham.3do and to Michel Vigneres for his historical support.

Good historical racing!

G. Spinning

Edit 17/04/2012:

Since Honda did not participate to the French GP, this other add-on allows to introduce the BRM P261 of Stewart in the Le Mans Bugatti carset  for a 100% representative grid of the GP of France of 1967. In the rar there is also the Ferrari black steering since it was used at the French GP.

Enjoy!

suddenly I am dreaming .The Honda empty slot cld perhaps in a later update be used for importing a BRM P 261 for Stewart, with an edited BRM.wav for the sound ??

It's not that hard porting the BRM P261 of the 65 to the murasama slot so it's possible ;)

Yes Michel, as also Martin pointed out it is not too difficult. The BRM P261 is already in the Monaco carset. I may prepare the few needed file in addition to those and upload it as an option during the w.e. Of course the  261 will move with the physic of the Honda and Stewart will not be in the BRM team but  in the Honda.

Hi Michel,

again I have a question that only you may know the answer. I did the BRM P261 for Stewart at Le Mans for the murasama slot and I have to choose for the tyres. From what I know  BRM in 1967 were in general using the Goodyear. However, the P261 was modelled with Firestone at Montecarlo and I can imagine you blessed that. What shall I do for the French GP? Keep Goodyear for the P83 and Firestone for the P261, or Goodyear for all?

When you find the time to look at it, I will appreciate your answer so I can post this option.

Cheers

Hi Gianfranco,
BRM never used Firestone Tyres, It runs with Dunlop in 65 and 66, with Goodyear in 67 and 68 and in 69 It comes back to Dunlop.
