My solution to this same problem was to use Firefox for accessing the Repository.  I don't know why and I don't use Firefox for anything else but that.

I have the same problem. It has been like that for months.

The only way it works for me is if I answer a PM notification from my mail box. Then it still asks me to login every time but accepts the log in.
So I keep an old PM notification in my mail box just so I can log into the rep.....crazy but true.

Using IE also.

creative minds and great answers...usually the advice is sage...and remedies most problems...  but in this situation something is odd... i have rebooted... i have cleared all the cookies ...used three different browsers to no avail ...only to get the same circular result ...even if i enter the user ID  number and the key code, and the alternate link in the confirmation e-mail... i also dropped a note for the webmaster @ their link... it's all unusual and quite frustrating...   :idunno:

I don't know you will have to ask my wife.

I presented her with the problem ... my frustration ... and she solved it somehow. All I care is that it worked and is still working.:yeah:

I couldn't figure it out and she did. :hat-tip: :clap2:

It would be helpful to all the others with this same problem if you could ask her and repeat the explanation here.  It sounds like it's not too complicated.

But Bob, it was complicated!!!!
Sometimes all it takes is  an older operating system, an older browser version, an older forum structure and a user who doesn't automatically download all suggested "updates" to create such a snafu.
I would recommend downloading suggested updates, clear your cookies and try again.

I would suggest... if everything else has failed .... try logging in from a computer that belongs to a non power user.  :)

Trackgrrl  ;)
