I don't understand.  Do you mean that you'd like the pitboard to be located somewhere else along the track?

If so, you can edit the track.ini line:

[ pit_lane_0 ]

pit_board = 14.4 520.0 -100.0 100.0 ; dlat of board, dlong of board, dlong LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

adjusting just the first two numbers.  14.4 means 14.4 meters to the left of the centerline of the track (negative is to the right) and 520.0 means 520 meters past the start line.  You can experiment with different values as you like.  If the pitboard is less than 300 - 350 meters after the finish line, you'll see the previous lap's time.  If it's more than 350 meters past the line, you'll see the time of the lap that you just completed.

no, i meant...if you would hold the pitboard there, would you have the same position of the body?
I would hold the pitboard on my right side

Version 2

Pit Board Guy on RIGHT-HAND SIDE of TRACK for Grand Prix Legends (5/09/2012)

This is a very small graphic thingy to let you have the pit board guy standing in
the correct orientation on the RIGHT-HAND SIDE of the TRACK.

This way when he's on the right-hand side of the track when you place him there by
the line in your track.ini file (track65.ini, etc.) such as this for Kyalami:

pit_board = -6.0 78.0 -100.0 100.0 ; dlat of board, dlong of board, dlong LOS start, dlong LOS end (last 2 not used)

... he will hold the pit board out over the track from the pit lane.

I've included all 7 of the various color RIGHT-HAND SIDE pitguys in this archive.  All you should do is re-name one to "pbguy.srb" and drop it into your 'objs' folder.

Unfortunately, there is no known way (to me) to automatically swap this file or make reference to
alternate pbguy.srb files so as to switch the graphic from right-side to left-side.  As most tracks have
the pits on the right-hand side of the track... this new one will work most of the time.

I took a little more care in making the RIGHT-HAND SIDE pitguy to eliminate the jaggies in his outline.  Also, I included all 7 of the color pitguys.

Strange.... if it works in GPL in one OS it should work in later ones as the support required is for DX7.

from the readme:

You do not need to use the pitguys selector. It is only a convenience thing. You can change the pitguy manually by renaming the particular team srb file you want to use to pbguy and place it in the objs folder.

What doesn't work anymore (at least for Win 7 64-bit) is the batchman.com file that is "called" by the Pitguys ".bat" files.  I believe that 'batchman.com' expands native batch file commands to include those used by the fellow who 'wrote' the Pitguys batch file.   :2c:

Thanks for your kind words!  :)

Here is a collection of right-hand side and left-hand side pitguys.
These must be manually re-named and dropped into the objs folder.

Original graphic textures by "Stones" - 55 pitguy by Remy

EDIT: The + and - signs were reversed in the White Script pbfont.pbf file.  Fixed.  Thanks to Db312 for finding this.
