I received error message by dr.watson post mortem debugger that displayed this trying to host adelaide track using GPL 67 F2 mod:

Application popup: Papyrus Window: gplcf2.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x060eb906" referenced memory at "0x060eb906". The memory could not be "read".

I do not know what to do nor is any website displaying a cure. I DO have the latest version. I have ran it fine previusly now it errors.

Sounds like it might be a virus checker or Windows Firewall issue.  Make sure that each EXE that GPL uses is allowed to run.

Haha, almost the same laptop as mine... compaq evo n800v, 32 mb vram radeon 7500, p4 1.6 ghz, 516 ram again...

Actually I do have something similiar. Randomly crashing with memory reference error or "application encountered a problem and needs to close". Happens only with directxv2 raster, only with heavy to load mods or tracks (66, 69x, targa, clermont ferrand), only when switching resolution from menu to car or back. Haven't found the solution or the cause for all that. Recently reinstalled windows (XP sp2) and I think the problem is still there... i got one CTD so far, but no more memory reference errors.

Now, in the area of speculation... i guess it has to do something about ram. Too little ram or faulty ram chips... but I dont have extra ram chips to check that. Tho, it might be the videoram or the page file (hardrive swap) - tho reformatting or defragmenting the drive doest help... maybe.

To you manage to get to the menus? does restarting help? Turning antivirus or firewall? Does it work offline? Is hardrive loading something for a while before the error?

For now you can try removing the page file - virtual memory (control panel/system/preformance/advanced/virtual memory-change/no paging file/set/ok) restarting the pc, defragmenting the harddrive and allocating the swap again (at same place, custom size, 1000 mb would be ok, set/ok) and restarting again.

It was simple cure. I found that the files for F2Legends mod was corrupt. I remember trying to download it, it stopped halfway then I resumed in Google Chrome. the server was shutting me down mid way through the 96mb executable for reasons unknown and no errors displayed at all. I should contact the host yet they are probably to busy to even think of it.

this time what I did was shut down the browser, run Ccleaner. reloaded the page to download. Started the download. It quit again mid way. I repeated the process. Finally it downloaded completely the third time.

So, I removed the whole GPL folder, ALL registry entries with RegSeeker (do not use this as its for advanced users I wont even link it!) It found so many references that it showed old installations with new installation. Then rebooted after clean up. I searched thru all 3 APP Data folders under User Name , Local Settings, and Documents and Settings (WINXP) none where there. GPL didnt have a uninstaller. WEIRD!!

Installed it all again, GPL, GPL secrets, This time just F2 Legends mod and both Adelaide tracks. Made game profile. Loaded Gem+ activated it and added Adelaide to Legends mod in season editor. Started iGor hosted race ran like a charm.

My old Kingston RAM module is removed.Reinstalled both Compaq modules (256mb each 333mhz)Seems the memory was not the issue because the same behavior happened.

It doesn't need it since all the files are in GPL directory; nothing is in windows directory.
You delete GPL folder and the whole program is gone.
You copy paste the directory in anoter computer and the program will run fine :)
The only thing you need to install is GEM+.
