[NOB]

Hi people.
I'm new at this thing of playing PC games. Somebody show me a demo version of GPL ¡and I can stop playing with it! My problem is that I can't find the CDs of GPL nowhere in my country, Argentina. I don't have a major credit card so I can't buy it overseas. I started to look for it in my hometown, Rosario, but nobody seems to have GPL or even know what it is. I wonder if my fellow countrymen in this forum could help me. ¿It's illegal to do a copy of your CDs or a copy of the whole game as anyone have it in anyone's PC and pass it over to a friend?
Help me, please, I greatly enjoy the GPL demo and I know I want the full game.

If you have the demo, you can just download more and add to it.
I don't think you need the cd these days.
The marvellous community has made a huge amount of goodies .
Including GEM+ which is a new front end to run it from.
The original year 1967 has been joined by '65 '66 '68 '69 Sports cars and various other things

A little story ....
about 11 years ago I was visiting my Mate in another city.
He had just got some game called gpl and was driving it with a joystick.
It was 1967, looked terrible and was impossible to drive
We spent all weekend trying though   

On the way back home, I went on a different route to normal
and happened to look in a second hand shop on the way.
I noticed a pc game steering wheel tucked away gathering dust
and with it was a game disc...and the game was gpl  
The guy said a granny had bought it for a 7 year old but he couldn't drive it hehe

I have never seen it for sale since.

With only the Demo, you won't have the Papyrus tracks, other than the one that comes with the Demo (Watkins Glen or Monza?).

NOB not quite right.The 2004 Demo is the full simulation, only missing 10 of the 11 worldchampion-tracks.You can add every patch, every update, every mod and over 580 tracks.

By the way, you can add wet Nürburgring, wet Spa and wet Mosport, so only 7 "missing"!

Pay someone cash who has a card, and have them buy the CD for you.

I'm sure that there are still a couple of GPLers from Argentina visiting this forum regularly, possibly including someone from Rosario. Don't give up, you'll find a way to get hold of a CD!

In this page says that it's mandatory to download a file called 7-Zip for better extraction of the game files. I hope this work just fine.  Man, I'm working now, I wish it were tomorrow morning to execute this and to see what happens.

I apologize. I thought Youtube was fairly strict on what is uploaded. I run across documentaries that would garner little to no interest on there that are unavailable. They won't let me watch the helicopter crash over the Chernobyl reactor in 1986 without registering which I find ridiculous. I had the impression that warez wouldn't last more than a day or two on there if that long. My comment on the legitimacy shows I had my suspicions though.  

I wouldn't try to do anything on this site that I wouldn't want to do publicly. Once again I apologize and I won't do it again. I never would have known about it if I hadn't just been looking at the latest GPL videos on Youtube.
