New Updated 67 Ai Helmets (Unable To Copy & Replace New For Old "Helms")

Just a quick query regarding The New Collection of Helmets/Faces, decided I'd Improve the Aesthetic & Historical accuracy of the AI in the 67 F1 Mod after finding these add on's (Fantastic work by G Spinning!), I was able to successfully update the faces but for a probably blindingly obvious reason can't seem to update the Helmets, despite backing up the original files & dropping the "Helm" files in their respective car Folders. Kinda wondered if it might be related to the original install.
My Installation dates back a couple of Years (used the GPLPS 0.97 Installer initially), since then I've installed the 67 Patch, New Rasterizers etc, GEM run's fine (never had any major Probs) & quite happily runs 65,66, 69 Extra, 67 Sports Cars, & the New F2 67'S with no outstanding issues aside from being unable to save My own Helmet Design (colour) in any other Mod aside from 67 F1, which I think could be related to this issue?
I'm spending more time Racing the 67 GP Cars as it feels like I've been neglecting the Mod which led me to purchase GPL way back in 99! & the plan is to update the 67 GP Car Skins & AI (purely for Aesthetic reasons!) all the Tracks have also been updated in an obsessive fashion (according to the Missus!).
I'm planning to install the 67 Historic Spa Carset (just downloaded it) but would rather sort this minor issue out prior to doing this.
Many thanks in advance for any advice offered.
Cheers & all the best.

the only thing which I can think is that you made a 2D helmets installation when you installed GPL 67. If that is the case you have to replace each car 3do: i.e. brabham.3do, brm.3do etc, with the standard ones, in each car folder. The add-on provides only the new mip files, thus the helms should work as for the faces.

and Eagle helmets and faces(great work G.Spinning
Am at work now so will continue to try later.
I was also wondering about Jackie Stewart-I saw his add-ons for the 67 carset face&helmet, but
have had no luck getting him into carset as a driver.Any solution?thanks.
edit-have all the helmets corrected by re-doing car files off of Jack Sellers & Nino's Garage, then loaded up the
Spa car set by G.Spinning.Now have a nice carset

I managed to successfully update all Car's & Drivers last nite, the Carset's are looking outstanding with New Hi Res Skins & Cockpits!!, plan is to crack on with the Spa 67 update Tonight, got a coupla queries for ya regarding this having never attempted such a task before.
Wondered if the if the procedure involved copying Honda RA273, Ferrari 312 (36 Valve) & BRM P83's Car's into the respective Cars 67 Folders or if it's necessary to create additional files within Cars 67 for these extra Cars, after I assume the next task would be to drop the Spa 67 Files into the respective Cars 67 folders,
Also not 100% certain of where to place the new drivc67.ini file provided with the Spa 67 Folder (could this be in the Spa Tracks folder?) or whether it's necessary, kinda wondered also if this add's more Cars to the Cars 67 Carset in Gems or if it creates a Spar 67 Carset which I would have to activate in Gems?. Plan is to work on this manually as I dont have the Carset Changer (I'll most probably get it in the near future & learn how to use it though), Gotta say thanks again for the help Guys
Gotta say I'm Really impressed by Your work G Spinning !!, the realism & sheer quality of the Add Ons you produce for The Community is amazing!!!, thanks again & salutations
All the Best & Cheers again!!

I'm happy you did progress and you are enjoying. Now for the SPA carset you need to drop the spa carset files in each respective car folder (i.e.: brabham, brm, coventry, eagle, ferrari, lotus, murasama) of your working CARS67 folder. You don't have to create any additional folder. Of course this works if your original carset is based on the Honda 273, Ferrari 36v and BRM p83. It does not work if instead is based on the Honda 300, Ferrari 48v and BRM p115 (also available from GPLEA). Further the new drvc67 file provided in the spa carset, has to be dropped in the spa track folder. The spa carset will be active only when racing at spa.

Cheer's Dave!
Think I'm most probably gonna aim to use this Carset for all the 67 Races too,I too intend to create historically correct Carsets for the 67 season eventually
Did You use the updated 67 Carset as a basis for these updates or add P83 etc in addition, just wondered if I'd have to create a new 67 Carset (thought I might have to substitute P83 for P115, RA273 for RA300 etc), just wondered really what process you followed to get the Spa Carset fully operational.
Anyway Matey!, All the best & thanks for Your advice!

Alright Matey!, Thanks for the help
At present My 67 Carset utilises the updated Hi Res Honda 300, Ferrari 48V & BRM P115 Carset, I've got the RA273, P83 & 36 Valve 312 installed within the 66Mod though, wondered if I might have to create an alternative 67 Carset incorperating the updated P83, 273 & 312 (36 Valve) Cars, instead of the 300, P115 etc, I'd really like to get this Carset to work and maybe run it as an additional 67 Carset or as my main choice (although I'd still like to keep the 300, P115, Carset as a Cars 67 option too), not totally certain of how to progress with this project though.
Many thanks for your sound advice Matey!
All the best, Dan.

GPLEA Brabham BT24 & BT20 v2.1
GPLEA BRM P115 v1.0b
GPLEA Cooper T81/T81b
GPLEA Eagle-Weslake v4.0
GPLEA Ferrari 312(V48)v3.0
GPLEA Lotus 49
GPLEA Honda RA300 v3.0
Now I've also added G.Spinnings faces/helmets & SPA carset.
I have a nice looking carset, especially after the work getting rid of the ball-like helmets.
I believe I have a mishmash though-not correct for the SPA carset to work properly-will
continue to work at it a little at a time to get it correct.

The 49 sounds even more menacing than before, the rev range seems pretty spot on too!, copped hold of the 65 Historical Update earlier & sorted out that Carset, gotta say that I'm hugely impressed by the New Skins & Ai, managed to find the "Real Monaco Update" that ya suggested too, I shall look forward to working on that project, but, thinking that the F2'S will be Raced at regular intervals cos Ginetto's New Zolder's just been installed!!!
Wahey!! - but first a few laps in the "Hondola 300" screaming around Rouen!, after which a quick blast in the MS80 at Clermont Ferrand (66 Mod, 69 Extra & Updated 67 Mod have to be Raced at regular intervals too!!)
Have a Good One!!.

driven them for over a month.I tend to rotate through the Mod's in 2 week intervals.Really
like the 66 Mod World Championship,it is set up exactly as the true season with only
best 5 results of the 9 races counting.Try It!
