so there's just a teeny weeny preview. it's not 1970, but 1971. it was with great dismay, that i realized at last year's le mans that the 30 year old overall distance record, set by my beloved 917 in 1971, had been taken by a stinking diesel. now i'm just waiting for a diesel prototype to crack stefan bellof's qualifying time at the ring...
in any case, don't get your hopes up or hold your breath as this is one of a long line of mods in the pipeline, pretty far down the list, too (but at the top of my own list). there's other seasons on the distant horizon, too. but seeing how our resources (read # of people) working on these mods are very limited (less than 2 hands full) progress will be very slow and there are a few way more advanced mods ahead of it.

Yeah actually he was pretty good. He was second with Peter Revson in 12h of Sebring 1970. Only 23 seconds behind winning team.
