Is there any major graphical updates to Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans)? If not, hope somebody would like to make it.

there is a project team, largely consisting of the same people currently working on the new spa67 track, to create an improved and hence more realistic version of le mans. however at this time that project is on hold indefinitely since spa67 has the priority there and the resources within the mod team(s) are very limited. so until spa67 is released it is highly unlikely (read: impossible) any work on le mans, other than information / reference gathering, is done.

New version of spa? Wow. Current version of spa is awesome. Wonder how awesome that shall be. But shame that they are working with that rather than working with new Le Mans track. But I am not to decide.

um... to be honest, i'm a big fan of the races at le mans, been there myself a few times, but le mans as a track is a fairly boring thing. the only thing really going for it is the highspeed part - especially without the chicanes - where you can go from terte rouge to mulsanne corner flat out for like a minute and a half (maybe more, depending on the car) and even get almost airborne when cresting the bump. but other than that... spa is way more challenging in my book. and the new spa67 wins hands down over le mans. any day. you will just have to take my word on that until it is eventually released ;)

Yeah I like Spa more too but I think Le mans has little more historical value in sportscar series (and I am more into those than open wheelers). I have driven much more Spa than Le Mans. Offtopic but this day is a good day for me speaking about Spa. I made new personal lap record in Spa today. :)  But I have much to improve yet.

I enjoy driving Le Mans having been there eight times, I've still to get to Spa, hope to one day. I always preferred sports cars to F1.

Not sure if you have seen Remy´s post:

With a mix of those updates Le Mans looks quite exceptable, though it still can´t hide its age. ;)

Don't forget that GPL is a mid-60s F1 simulation despite a sportscar mod. Nevertheless, if I prefer the old Spa track to drive and have fun, I enjoy racing on Le Mans track too due to the long straight line and aspiration overtaking.

I don't have any change to visit those tracks maybe ever. :( I live too far away. Luckily there's Alastaro and Ahvenisto here in Finland. I haven't still visited in those places yet. Maybe next summer if I have money.

It'll be my 27th visit to the world's greatest motor race this year - that's 27 straight since '86......   :D
Back to GPL after 8 years and still nothing beats it.......
