Merry Christmas all.

Another year nearly over and another set of cars for us to crash.

But a new mod isn't truely complete without an entry in GPLRank. And whereas we haven't yet got a GPLRank for the F2s (or even the 69Extras yet), at least I can offer the next best thing.

GPL Rank Tracker has been updated to handle the F2 mod, so although you can't compare your times online yet - you can at least see how you're doing against yourself.

As usual, please post any suggestions for future improvements, or any bug reports.

A readme.. I knew there was something I haven't done.

Let me see what I can put together...

But the quick version - doesn't matter where you download it. Anywhere on your GPL PC will do. You will need a copy of Excel to run it though. OpenOffice won't work thanks to not being about to handle buttons.

To use, you need to go into the settings tab - change the player & file details for the classes to match the locations of your player.ini files.

Set 'Clear Data' to Y if you want to clear out the existing times.

Go back to the Front Page tab.. and hit the 'Import Times' button.

Also - I've spotted a bug concerning 2nd run through for the F2s, which has now been sorted. New version attached.

Thanks Darren! Merry Christmas!

EDIT:

Darren, do you think it might be worth taking a slight "risk" and including a 69-Extra rank and a 67-F2 rank in your spreadsheet? The definitions of both of them seem to be pretty clear and firm - the 69-Extra rank would have a track list identical to the current 69-Rank. And the 67F2 mod provides its own F2Season file which defines the tracks which were used in the championship. So I think it's very unlikely that the mod teams would change the track lists now. In effect, you could go one jump ahead of the GPLRank website in allowing drivers to look at their rank scores, which is difficult at the moment.

EDIT 2:

Of course, if I had thought it through, I would have realised that we can just go to the 69-Extra cars section, and look across to the right until we come to the GPL69 column and get the figures there! Doh!  :duh:  But I think my suggestion is still valid for the 67F2 cars!

I just went crazy trying to figure this out. Then I realized I don't have Excel.

I'd be happy to just know what the GPL Rank times are going to be? Also, do you think we'll get a British F2 Championship Rank? I like the tracks a lot better, and we have all the tracks right now. We don't have the Ring version for the European Championship.

Another update I'm afraid...

This time I've added a provisional F2Rank based on the F2 season.ini and pole times for those tracks as listed in the main F2Mod thread.

I think you meant "Can't use the program", here are the times below, lifted from Darren's Program, no work by me involved. Thanks Darren for adding a provisional Rank for us to have something to aim for with these fun little F2 cars.

Snetterton 1:28.800
Silverstone 1:29.200
Südschleife 2:49.600
Hockenheim 2:01.500
Tulln   1:05.300
Jarama 1:30.700
Zandvoort 1:27.500
Enna-Pergusa 1:13.500
Brands Hatch 1:32.600
Vallelunga 1:18.400

Yep! My bad..typo. Those times will be a good rank. Much harder than the 67 F1 cars. Plus, they make sense since they're real times.

I got 1.28.2 at Zandvoort with the default setup. I need to play with the setups now.

I hoop that these time ar not included for the GplRank

For example , Brands Hatch67 creazy time the 66ers have a GplR of 1:35.917 , Zandvoort almost the same as F1 67 in the GplR , Tulln Langenlebarn way to fast .

Enna-Pergusa then same way to fast for GplR , if you look at the time that ed67 has placed for Enna you will understand .

greets :hat-tip:

Keep in mind the 67 times didn't relate to anything real. It was just the replays from the beta testers who were using mostly joysticks.

I know from being a tester on some of the mods that the goal of setting the physics was to get the lap times close to the real cars. Matching the times of the real drivers shouldn't be easy.
