Yes Norton is a pain if it thinks there are too few users and the file can't be trusted, if you go into quarantine and select the file and choose to restore it that will take care of it in future scans or the other option is to do what Bob suggested and turn Norton off until you install it    I am not using Norton anymore because of this very problem with things.

I've set up my F2 player.
Activated the carset and selected the physics.
irrespective of which season is selected when I click the green flag to start GPL I get a Gem error message which I then cannot close nor can I close Gem and have to go to Task Manager to end task.

Strange about the F2 Season though; there are 10 events in the ini and only eight show in the drop down menu in Gem.
I have removed Nurbuds using Gem but Nurbuds still appears in the ini.

I'm running Win7 64 bit

I can run the F2 mod by clicking the exe in GPL but Gem does not want to know.

I've tried manually removing Nurbuds but no joy.

It has something to do with the carset as soon as I make the F2 carset active Gem will not allow GPL to start even if I try another mod.

Im also a computerdriver with Win 7 64 bit and had no problem to install the F2Mod dident even removed " Nurbuds " from the list .
Perhaps you could try to install F2Mod trou " administrator " i couldent install F2Mod without administrator .
O yes , if you look in your c:/sierra/gpl/season you will find two files , one is the ini (if you already have done a race with the new mod ) of F2 and the second is the configuration open it and see if " in your case " there are 8 EVENT because you have only 8 tracks .
The nine out of the ten tracks that i have are , Snett67 , Silver ,the third chould be Nurbuds but for the moment they are working on this track , Hockenheim , Tulln Langenlebarn , Jarama , Zandvoort , Enna , brands67 , and vallunga .
Hoop you got some luck with this .

Panic over!
It's now working.
I just ran the installer again (not as administrator) and hey presto Gem now likes F2.
Thank you to those who are generous enough to help a fellow racer in distress even when they have new cars to drive.

Don't know if anyone else has come across this, but I'm having problems getting the F2 mod to run at all.

The installation ran through fine. All appears OK right up to the point where I try to go to the track - whereon I get 'track could not be loaded'

Changing track/car/rasteriser all seem to make no difference...

Any ideas?
