Thanks for the new track
The last thing he said to me, "Doc," he said, "some time when the crew is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell them to get out there and give it all they got and win just one for the Zipper.

Hi all !

Thanks for this new track. Nice to drive with 65ers. The track has a nice flow.

I  make "quick and dirty" a GEM-pic from the "page0.pbf" and the trackmap form "page2.pbf".

My friend zalo make a set of new mip's and srb's from the old ones in the *.DAt without colourborders around (orange and green borders). It looking much better now. But the files i will only upload if the editors give me the o.k. for this.

Greetings

Achim

EDIT: My friend make a flag for the "layout"-folder too.

P.S: The white flying birds (seagulls ?) are very nice done.

you can , but in 1967 a portuguese flag is better , independant Mozambique don't exist before 1975 .

It was still called Monazabique (a long title beforehand), but it had the Portuguese flag.

Hi all !

Thanks for allow the upload of some "uplifted" files.

The zip-file include some files for Voodoo-users (not complete for all track-files, only Voodoo-files for the uplift-part), my "quick and dirty GEM-pic" and the Mozambique flag.

The Portuguese flag is not part of this upload. It allready exist from other tracks (Porto and others). You need only the correct entry for this flag in your "XXseason.ini" to show the flag in your PB-screen.

All credits to the track-editors and for the uplift-files to my friend zalo.

Use of this files are at your own risk and please make a backup from your installed original trackfolder before you put the new ones in.

Greetings

Achim

Thanks ED and Tom

Nice Christmas present for us all, great fun.  Even if I always crash into the speaker poles by the pits, gotta learn!

Not sure this is the right thread for the following, but here goes anyway:-

Since it's nearly Christmas, can I be the Grinch and have a moan!  Not about this track in particular, but new tracks in general.  On the track maps, in particular the one (event.pbf?) that you see when you're practising/qualifying, can we please always have some indication of where the start line/pits/track direction is?

It may be just me, but I've come back to GPL recently from a long time away, and with loads of new tracks to learn (which is absolutely great!) or at least to jog my memory of, I need to see the track map first to understand where I'm at, so to speak.  And if I don't know where I'm at to start with, then well,... very little hope for those first laps.

Okay so after a while it all comes naturally (we hope), but for the first visit to a track the track map is really what you need, so just something to take into account.

Turn names, if they're known, are always good too I find for trying to remember your way around, so if you know those please add them too.

Anyway sorry for the bit of a moan, especially on a new track thread, but cheers all anyway and Merry Christmas.

And nice work ED and Tom

I just had a chance to drive this track at last and Achim is right, the seagulls really stand out as they fly out to sea and back again. I found myself trying to spot where they were each lap. Well done guys.  :clap2:

for mod F2 , make a copy of the track.ini and rename it trackF2.ini
and change :

[ GP ]
dlong_speed_adj_coeff = 1.000         ; value modifies dlong velocities (i.e. RELS) in .LP

Here's a quick and dirty program set.... until BAPOM gets back from the Olympics!   :P
These are just simple modifications to the existing programme that came with the track.
