I'm wachting at the moment live on tv the free practice for the race who is comming at Spa Francorchamps at sunday , lot of rain for the moment .
Saw also that the nephew/Bruno Senna of Ayerton Senna is racing this weekend for Lotus , has already done one crass/clash must say that the track is very slippery .
See for the moment that Webber is doing a 2:09.094 but again like i already sad the track too slippery .
:hat-tip:

Aah, beautiful Belgium. The only race of the year where the drivers need flippers, a nose clip and airtanks!  :P  ;)  :D

(P.S. My avatar pic was taken at the old Bus Stop section at Spa, with me in the passenger seat!)

Yes Spa...ahhh! It has to be one of, if not the best venue for Formula One today. I'm glad some one had posted something about it, I was going to but...life gets in the way. Last weekend I got up early Sunday to watch the race and totally forgot that it was this weekend. Three weeks is a long time to wait for an F1 race in the midst of a season!!
I hope Alonso schools the rest of the field!!! Wouldn't it be neat to see Shumacher contend for a win...naah!!

Unfortunately the car belonged to my friend, and I wasn't insured to drive it.  :(  I was acting as his navigator for a rally event around Spa, Francorchamps, Hockai and Ster back in 2005. The main rally was part of the Championnat Provincial Liegeois, but the organisers invited lots of historic and replica car owners around Europe to take part in an exhibition group to follow the main cars. Parts of the Spa circuit were used as a special stage. In a way, I'm glad I wasn't driving. I had a little more time to look at the superb scenery as it went flashing past!  :)   One of the greatest weekends of my life. Especially when we all discovered the local "Bobeline" beer!

Hands up who has been for a little spin around the Spa 98 track to get a better feel for whats going on at the grand prix

Could be a good time for track promo in gplrank, maybe build up a rank formed of the current F1 tracks(or the closest we have to it in the current TDB)
