Burnsy, you can either be a sim racer or have a social life, but you have to choose. You can't have both. At least that's my experience.  :D
I still manage it, I remember last week that I said hello to my wife while I was waiting for a track to load  :P

I spotted this thread as I quickly scanned my favourite sites before going out for the evening. I cut short my evening out so I could come home, download it and try it out. It's very disappointing to find that the mod hasn't actually been released. This should have been made clearer.

Paul.

Will Silvio Moser's BT24, used at the Monaco GP be included in the 69 Xtra Mod?

Oh $hit! A week ago there I was thinking whether I should ask about any news on upgraded version of '69ers or not... and here they are! What a spectacular surprise. I took some time, but I'm sure it's damn worth it! Thanks, Gentlemen.

Edit: Oh.. now I see they're not exactly here yet... The thread title caught me  :duh: Looking forward to driving them though!

Thanks very much to Paul and all the mod team. Really appreciate all your efforts to increase my enjoyment of my favourite sim. Looking forward to this one, not just for the added realism and extra cars and carslots but also to update the physics of the original 69 mod.

Nice touch to post the realease notes first, just to help build the antici...                   pation.  :hat-tip:

Keith, there will be one last test of this mod at the end of the week and if no more problems are found, the mod will be released very soon after. So you won't have to wait much longer :) . I hope you'll like the new graphics and handling of the cars.

In the meantime, try reading the release notes to make sure you don't encounter problems while installing the mod. We used the same procedure to release the Sportscar Mod, but unfortunately some people still forgot to read the notes, thankfully all reported problems could be solved.

Tommie.

Moser is included as an AI driver with the correct livery or Monaco 1969, however due to time constraints we have chosen to omit the side tanks he used in the race.

Guess I am running out of time finalizing the short preview/ teaser movie of the Xtra Mod I am working on.

[i][b]Installation.
1/( for beta testers ) If you have previous versions of "69-Extra" installed you should remove or rename these files BEFORE installing this version :- "cars69 folder" ( gpl/cars ), "69-Extra" folder ( gpl/mods/gem+ ), "gplx69.exe" ( gpl )

2/Run the installer. Check the path for installation is correct.

3/Start gem/carsets and activate "69-extra" Make sure "69-extra" physics are selected.

4/Select your 69mod player and select "69-extra" for the player. Check that "cars69" has been selected.

5/Exit Gem and a gplx69.exe will be created.

Paul,
Guidance needed for the terminally stupid please.
So no need for a new 69-extra player? Just use your existing 69 player? All existing setups will be valid?

You can use your existing 69 player if you wish. All existing setups will be valid.
