Hi,

I now have a set of Fanatec Clubsport Pedals, very nice ideed! I am using it with me red Logitech MOMO Force wheel and the setup works great.

I tried to use the clutch as it should work in a real car and disabled automatic clutch in GPL, GTR2, Power and Glory Mod, Rfactor and Race 07. But when I am driving I still can shift sequentially without clutch. The only thing I need the clutch for ist to get the car moving in first gear from the start.

Is there any setting I am missing? I would like to have a setting where any shifting requires the clutch.

You need GPLShift for GPL. (No idea about the other race sims.) Follow the readme and you should be able to get it going, it even has a sound for a missed shift so you know when you get it wrong. GPLShift has a lot of other great features as well.

Good luck

Thank you, I will give GPLSHIFT a try!

Maybe someone else has an idea how this can be solved in the other Games / Sims.

One more question, I don't have an actual shifter. Will GPLSHIFT work with the rocker switches on the MOMO Force?

As far as I know there is no way to enforce the need to use the clutch with GTR2 (and therefore with P&G as well). Can't comment on Rfactor and Race 07.

I agree with Snailracer in GTR2 not providing a method to enforce usage of the clutch.

But you can untick "Autoclutch" in the realism options. Now your engine will stall if you do not press the clutch and as far as i know you wont have the autoblip anymore.

Furthermore, if you use a H-Shifter you need to enable the "Hold button for gear" checkbox. This makes the sim going to neutral if the gear lever is not engaged into the H-pattern.

Thomas

For rFactor there is the Grinding Tranny Mod which will leave you in neutral if you miss a shift.

  http://www.rfactorce...ding Tranny Mod

  You also want to make sure that auto clutching is off (F11) and edit your plr. file to remove auto blipping.  That is found in rFactor/UserData/your player name.  The file will be your player name.PLR.  Open with notepad and under driving aids, make sure it set as Auto Blip ="0".  Auto Lift is above it and should be set to 0 also.  You have to be using manual gearbox, not semi-automatic, with whatever mod your driving for this to work.

Good luck,
Dave

Ok Steven I have the same wheel and pedal combo and I also really like it ,but your still missing one very important part . I have the SST Sim-gear H shift and that puts the whole thing over the top :thumbup: I know it's another 200 large but it's a real gas blasting into a hard braking area and trying to heal and toe and down shift without screwing the whole thing up :shock: .
Now back to your question GPLShift is needed as said before and the tranny mod for rfactor but the other ones have nothing  :wave:

Jeff,

Do GPL and rFactor support a third controller?

I mean a MOMO Wheel, the Clubsprt Pedals and the SST shifter make in total three controllers.

Yes Sir , I think 3 is the limit but it does see all of them .
When you cal in GPL just keep hitting the ahead arrow till you see movement in the proper axis .
Trust me it's a blast but it's hard  :thumbup:

In GPL, you need the GPLShift utility to see all the axes (up to 16 axes, I think) for three controllers.  There's an option in the GPLShift.ini to enable for it.

It's for up to 5 controllers

Hello everyone, my first post to this board. Like many of us, dusting off the cobwebs and reconnecting with the best racing sim ever after 4 years away from it :)

Coming back to Steven_T's question: by setting Clutch_Threshold = 9 (e.g.) in GPLShift.ini I manage to solve that + implemented shfterr.wav which works great.

However, the car still won't stall at a standstill if I release the clutch. I now have a G27 and with my old FFW without a shifter, it used to stall.

I have browsed all the various .ini files but I can't find any setting saying "autoclutch" or similar.

Appreciate your help!

It's already on AUTO, here's the top of my GPLShift.ini:
CountingButtonsFromOne = 1
Shifter_Model = AUTO
Shifting_Behaviour = 1
Switch_Between_Modes = OFF
Clutch_Threshold = 9
Clutch_Shift_Sound = 2

It also displays at the bottom of the window that G27 is detected.

Have you calibrated the clutch in the GPL?
Options> Calibrate Joystik>
Small arrow bottom page, page 2

In GPL the car will never stall at a stop with the cluctch engaged.  In other words, it's an auto clutch at a stop.  That's just the way that it's coded.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread.

Is there any way to disable auto blip in GPL?
