Hi everyone,

ED76, another F1Legends"s driver, and me have just finished a new little SOUTH AFRICAN track called ROY HESKETH


Used from 1960 to 1981, the track received :
- F1 South African Championship from 1966 to 1975
- Springbok Sportcar series and the Formula Atlantic
- motors bikes races (especially with M.Hailwood and G.Agostini)
Then, the town has grown and there were no more than 2500m from the first track version.
In 2008, it had been restored and reopened.


You'll find in the track folder a file called "Options" with some 60's pictures of Roy Hesketh and specific AI for the Sports Car Mod

EDIT: After dl, unpack *.dat and downsize some mip-files to voodoo-rules for personal use it running on my old system. What other say before, nice and twisty track. I test it with 65er-mod for some slow laps. I hope "Mr. BAPOM" will create a nice Programset.

Just tried it in a 65s Honda and it's absolutely okay! What a lovely club circuit. Many thanks!

After an Int-Short Tasman '64 race I must say the track has 100% fun factor! A must have for these small engines.

GPLRank gets all its trackdata from the Alternative Tracks Database, so once it's added there, it's on GPLRank within 24 hours.

Any idea on why it is taking so long?

thanks for your rendition of the Roy Hesketh track

it runs perfectly well for me with no glitches, has a nice period look and it feels/races like an early era club circuit should, full throttle and hard braking

one of my new favorite tracks, it definitely will go on our league schedule ... this track certainly deserves some exposure

and looking forward to your further development of the driver inis/cars/skins that actually raced at Roy Hesketh
