Does anyone have 1967 setups and/or replays for this track, especially for the Lotus? I have got down to 1m 23.2s, which is about two seconds off the record, I think. Right-foot braking preferred...

wow. Would Urban Alsenmyr have a replay of his 1:16.536 lap with Brabham!? It should be fantastic!

Cheers, Marcos.

I had not spotted that time. It's astonishing.

Thanks. I have been doing a lot more gear-changing than you - perhaps using your gearing will shave off a few tenths.

I have come to the conclusion that Alsenmyr's 1:16.536s lap is so astonishing that it must be an error - probably a 1969 time posted by mistake. Anyone care to comment?

And not only this track , one day i tried to bring this up with some other track but they didend like it so much that i mention this .
There was also one person who told me that Alsenmyr is a tester of mod and holder of the Gpl rank . :idunno:
Then there was also a other person in my attempt to bring this up who said , that it could be a 69 time posted like you mention .

The point made at the time Sven, was that Urban is a moderator of GPLRank and a good upstanding citizen of the GPL community. He donates his time to reviewing the replays and confirming world records and other such duties for which we are all grateful. Obviously Urban has made an honest mistake and uploaded the wrong times, I'm sure if/when he reads this and gets around to it he will rectify the error (or confirm his status as Primo Alien ). In the mean time I'm sure we can just ignore those times.

Cheers
David

Hallo Frency ,
Thanks for your explanation .
Here is another time from another person where i think that has a mistake ( problably also a 69F1 instead of A 67F1 )see picture
Porto 58 brabham car the record time is not possible for 67 f1 or this man has to be a suuuuuuper alien .
I know everybody can do mistake so do i :P
Hopefuly they have a look at this one to .
He frency if they want i could verify all the tracktimes for the 67 f1 .
I could place the track and time here where i think ( in a new topic ) there is a doubt about a certain track .
GREETS :hat-tip:

Unfortunately, the world records you've picked up on are the unverified ones. ie drivers are not required to submit a replay so the time could be due to an error or even a not-so-clean lap. It would take too much time to review replays for all 7 chassis over 482 tracks (3374 replays) so it's left up to each driver to moderate his times submitted. Although there are some obvious ones like the ones you have picked up on, I'm sure there are some out there that are not so obvious and without a replay to check, who's to say what should or shouldn't be deleted. Perhaps its just something we have to live with.  :idunno:

I wonder if we should start a thread here on SRMZ highlighting questionable times. What do you guys think?

Do you mean questionable times as in "how did he do that lap so fast" or "why is Burnsy so slow at this track" :P

Seriously though, probably not a bad idea, I am sure that 99.9% of them are genuine mistakes as there are no prizes, only bragging rights, I for one don't know many people (apart from this forum) who I could brag to.

Questionable as in times that are obviously too fast or impossible minus times which there are a few in the 66's.

The thing is i wouldn't want to insult anyone or cause any hard feelings. It could be a delicate subject but i think if we treat every time under question as a genuine mistake then there shouldn't be an issue.

Two minutes at the Targa is quite probably not possible  :D
