side note... the #7 skin is actually pretty much the same as the #7 skin of 1966 at the nurburg ring - where the 2D won. just thought i'd throw that in here

so here are the 1024x1024 online skins in 32bit (V2 only). i will have to convert them for 16bit again, as i'm not that satisfied with the ones i have, bit of a clay-tint to them right now. 16bit will always be a compromise, but i did that for the 512x skins included in the mod as well. so i will have to recheck my notes on the exact values for the conversion process

Just made the jump to 2560x1600 and the 2D 2048x skins are absolutely stunning. Thanks for these and I look forward to any other AI 2048x skins you can release.

hi oppolo
i'm afraid i haven't done those yet. or rather i have not converted them to 16bit as i had issues with the colours there. i could upload 512x512 32bit textures when i'm back home, since i just need to run them through papybmp. the 16bit versions however need some work - and at this time i cannot find my notes for the GT cars i did. like for example i had to trawl through our private forums for some of the info i posted on the ferrari teams the other day.
do you need 32bit (type7, requires v2 rasterizers) or 16bit (type5, works with any rasterizer)?

without wanting to spoil it, but that may turn out to be a longer wait. i think tommie did the porsche in 1024, quite possibly in 32bit originally, too, so that might be an option once he is back again. as for the the other fords, i believe ginetto's brother gentleman driver did the mk1 and francesco did the chaparral 2F - and for them the same applies. however anything higher than 1024x is possibly not in the cards without a complete overhaul of the skins (i.e. scratchbuilding them).
i was thinking about doing the MK4, as it share a rather big part of the MK2 skins in layout, and my personal favorite - the showgirl lola (i've got a 1/12 tamiya kit sitting here next to me waiting to be built
). but at this time it is not a priority. i have 2 bigger car projects and one major track project that i need to put a considerable effort into (actually track first, than cars) before i will consider going back to the GTs, so i wouldn't hold my breath there.
i'll ask francesco, ginetto and tommie if we can get type 7 skins of their cars in 512x, 1024x and if possible 2048. that might take some time either though
