Hi guys,

first of all thanks and gratulation to the makers of this mod, it's great fun. :)

However, i got a little problem with the physics of the mod... didn't try many cars yet though, i have done most laps with the Alfa Romeo GTA and the Alfa Romeo Junior. The 1st thing i noticed in comparison with GT Legends which i mainly have driven before trying this mod is that there's way more understeering on the cars which makes it more realistic in my opinion, it goes more in the direction of Sims like GPL, iRacing, Netkar Pro and others that way. The thing i was wondering about though was although i spent a couple of hours driving the said cars is that i didn't spin out one time due to oversteering in the corners... usually when i get into other Sims i have to find the limit which means i'll have to spin out some times understeering/oversteering. With this mod it seems like there is too much grip on the rear axis and too small grip on the front so the possibility of oversteering is like zero. What is weird is that the power oversteer effect (i mean when you are overpowering when accelerating out of corners) seems correct, feels ok and very controllable. When i go too fast into corners steering left/right too much i simply understeer on to the grass or gravel trap though... not very realistic i think. Well i'm not much into technical things concerning mods so maybe one of the programmers could bring a bit of light into darkness. :)

Would be interesting to see what your opinions concerning this thing are too, maybe i'm in the wrong here. :) It's just how it felt for me, comparing to the many Sims i have tried so far.

Greetings, chk

Try one of the powerful cars and you will have oversteer and spin ;)

Well, yeah^^. But in fact the smaller cars should oversteer too when you force them in one. ;) Even a Mini Cooper can be forced to oversteer i guess.

Hi chk,

how much did you fiddle with setups? The works setups of all these cars are on the understeer side. Unfortunately I am absolutely no setup master and I have always problems with stable four wheel drift but power oversteer with the Alpha - for sure possible!

Grand Prix Legends is not a racing simulator...

...it simulates racing cars on race tracks - but - the racing is real!

Yeah i also figured that it could have something to do with the default setups... but like you im not really a setup guru^^. I must say though i just did some rounds on Oschersleben B-Course and it felt better than this afternoon, so probably i just need to get used to the physics a bit more! At least was able to do the corners quite sideways now, enough to approach them quickly. :)

i remembered another thread about this. In it someone did post a mini cooper setup to demonstrate the difference between the default setup and what was possible with a few setup options.

I did some searching and i found it.

in post #7 there is a mini setup that is very impressive. I know you were not asking for the mini, I just remembered the 'wow'-effect that this gave to me.

Hi chk.
Sorry for the very late reply, but I was on holidays and just got back.

I understand perfectly what you're saying and about what kind of understeer you're talking. You're right.
I only ask you to wait a bit patiently for the Version3 of the mod.
We have totally eliminated the "front end washed out" feeling and I'm confident you'll like it :)
