Aha! That's the kind of guide I was thinking of writing! I've never seen your version before Stefan, I didn't even know it existed.

It looks great, although there's one thing I would question. Both the PDF and the websites (English and German) start off by saying that you should install GPL from the original CD, and then it goes on to describe how to use the all-in-one installer. But that is no longer accurate, is it. You can now install GPL just by using the original CD and the all-in-one installer, there's no need to do the standard installation first. Might save some confusion if that was updated.

But it won`t harm installing from CD first, before using the all-in-one installer. :)

-> the guides (GER/ENG) are attached as pdf files (see post #1), as the guides are temporary unavailable on my site

maybe an admin could make this thread sticky?

Is it important this "Start GPL via Start -> Programs -> Sierra -> Grand Prix Legends
and create a new player for each mod you`d like to install
" ?
I have only one player for all MODs

Not particularly, although it is a personal preference thing. Before installing the mods it is very useful to already have made a player in GPL first, otherwise I think that GEM+ would not be happy if there is no player to select to begin with.

The main advantage comes where mods use the original setup file extensions, e.g. .bb1, .lo1 etc. If you have a player for 65 mod it is clear that the setups with that player are for a 65 mod car without having to add additional information in the file name. If you use one player for all, then the setup with the extension .bb1 could be used for 65, 66, 67, 69 or 69 extra mods so you need to be more careful when you select the setup from the menu and include information in the file name to tell you which set up is for which mod.

Hi Stefan, Good day,
Thanks for 1.3...:hat-tip:
Link this "temporary access" thread on gpllinks.org?
I think why not have two or more links, just to be sure.

Thx for the french translation!

I will add 1-2 more sentences on the 60 FPS Patch and Vsync and on the recommended wheel settings, to make things more clear.
So there will be an v1.4.1 later this day :)

meanwhile, here the french translation of the V 1.4
+
I added two Links at the GPL links that are of interest but only for french speaking guys :  Racing FR ( path directly pointing to the GPL pages) + F1 Legends, the Jackseller site

When you 'll send your modifs in 1.4.1, I will add the modifs on a next PDF to come

Don't you think, Stefan, we should insist more about installing GEM + just after the GPL installation and BEFORE installing alls the Mods. Because, if by mistake, someone install GEM + after installing the Mods, he won't have the possibility to activate the Mods.
