Last week out of idle curiousity I checked a SCGT web site just for grins to see if anyone was still interested in this sim wanna be. To my amazement they have a number of different mods and one of them is the 67 F1 Mod. I found these 2 sounds file in the site's sound library, the Honda wav.is a keeper for me and the Brm wav might just become my new 65 sound.

It has been said imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so this must be the case of 42 GPL tracks that I counted that were converted to SCGT.

I haven't tried the Honda yet, but the BRM sound is perfect for the 1965 P261 and all BRM V8-engined cars of the 66 mod.  Love it!

Both sound files are from Sam Doobie's former "Grand Prix Sounds" site. I got them all stored.
The mur.wav is a very good file for 3 liter Honda V12. It renders perfectly the RA 301 sound and is of course
also very good for the RA 300 or RA 273. It doesn't fit to the small RA 272, but if someone likes to use it
for the 65 Honda, he can be sure to have a sound of a Honda engine.
The brm.wav has nothing in common with the real 65 BRM P261 V8 sound. The posted file must be a louder version of Sam Doobie's
brm_sd.wav from 2001. I remember that doug ( Doug Hardy, he made one of the best Ferrari67 sounds ) posted a file for
the GT40 shape for the GPL brabham around 2003. I believe the posted file may be the one that doug has worked on.
The sound is authentic for a Nascar big block and works pretty good in a GT 40, even if it is no real GT40 sound.
So, I am sure that the authors are for the mur:
Original file = mur_tjbpd.wav made by Patrick Daly together with Thomas JS Brown,
hosted by Sam Doobie
and
for the brm:
Original file = brm_sd.wav made by Sam Doobie

Wolfgang.
