I deleted my hole gpl setup manager folder and made a new one.  I made a new folder and tried to install gpl setup manager 1.6 from that folder but am getting that error^^^.  The same error was occuring when I had that old SM folder, and tring to install from a temp folder.  Right now the only thing under GPLSecrets/GPL setup manager is.................

GPL setup manager.exe  1.6            and    GPLPatchlog.txt   but it is blank when opened

Thanks again Lee!        I hope that helps in some way, I probably should not have deleted my old folder.

Hi Michael,

I don't understand what you mean by install.

When you download v1.1.6, it includes all the files you need in one directory.  If your GPL Setup Manager directory doesn't have all the files I listed previously, then you are not getting a full download for some reason.  Once you download the program, just click on the GPL Setup Manager.exe and is should run OK.

You are correct sir.  I went back in the setup manager thread and got your 1.1.5 and just extracted to gpl secrets and then got the udated 1.1.6 and overwrote it.  All seams fine now thank you very much  :D .

I've gone through this thread and don't believe I've seen anyone else with this problem.

I've installed the patch per the instructions. Gem says its ver 2.5.32 and GPL comes up with new backgrounds and seems to run fine. I do not have 66 or the 69 mod loaded.  When I try to edit some setups in GEM I get a question saying that Gem can't tell if the setup is a 69 or 66 mod setup. As far as I know these are 67 setups. I will then get another message depending on my answer. It'll either say I don't have the mod loaded or I get a run time error.  And it will not let me edit the setup.  Do I have to load both mods  or just one ?

Thanks
Bob Holada

That was it, I still had ver 1,0,0   Upgraded to ver 1.1.3 then added the .exe from ver 1.1.6
Works fine now  Thanks

There seem to be a couple of bugs in the 67 patch, unless it's just me (apologies if these have been reported before):

1. Changing the AI Speed via GEM seems to have no effect on the game.  When I looked at the files this is because GEM changes the value in "gpl_ai.ini" yet the game itself now uses "gpla67.ini".  I changed it from 1.0 to 1.15 via GEM and the AI still went the same speed.... you have to alter "gpla67.ini" manually.

2. The drop down list for selecting the cars folder no longer works for the 67s, no matter what you select it only uses "cars67".  I sometimes use alternate folders for some of the cars I've made but when I launch the game it is only using the cars in "cars67".  A small problem as I've just made another carset with different car folders but I thought someone might want to know.

Hi Johnny,
those problems are Gem 2.5.32 bugs. Mr T knows about them, so it is just a case of waiting for a new version.

paul

just same problems here too,

are the problems now fixed to new GEM ?

If I eliminate the black V (sorry I don't now the name for this v sign )next to the written words ,''64
track limit'' in GEm 2.5.0.32....;every time I close Gem and reopen it, the black Vis back .
So.... this creazy man would like to now how he can fix this .
thanks for your time ,misunderstandings and life

No, it is not really a bug. Its a matter of "interpretation".

If you have installed the patch then GPL(67) is principally able to handle season ini files >64 tracks no matter which value the check (V) in GPLEA has. The check in GPLEA is only a fuse that shall prevent you from accidentally adding more tracks to a season ini. So if you want to edit big season ini files in GPLEA you have to delete the check every time you open it. But the produced big files will work ok.

By the way: It is not recommended to oversize the original season67.ini. This will give you trouble with the trackinstaller.exe of downloaded tracks as these installers still prevent you from installing more than 64 tracks into season67.ini.

Hi,
a late response from me :)
The update itself runs nice but while integrating this into the new GPLPS Installer I noticed that I always have misalignments with Ian's badges while I had corrected the teaminfo.lyt file.
After some search I noticed that the 1.3 patch has it's own teaminfo.lyt file. Why is it? I assume I have a working GPL 1.2.0.2 with everything in 67 like I want it. Replacing GPL 1.2.0.2 stuff should be not needed because the 1.3 patch uses teamIc67.lyt if I'm correct?

Any more hints what might need to be fixed? At the moment I used only the files from the main download here. No need for other files?

Hi Bernd,

If you look at the thread where we chatted last week (started by Brian Speake) you will see how you have to patch teamIc67.lyt to change the alignment.

Also the badges have different names. Fro example murasama.pbf becomes hondalogo.pbf

The instructions I gave work fine for me. Since your post is a week old you may have fixed this already (meant in fun)

Regards

Ian

Ian,
the problem for me or better the question was why the files included in the GPL 1.3 patch overwrite plain GPL 1.2.0.2 files while the patch itself (1.3) uses new names for this layout stuff.
For me the package should be checked and all GPL 1.2.0.2 related stuff which is not needed for GPL 1.3 should be removed. I have done this but I thought it would be fair to mention it here :)

As you said only minor adjustments in my fixed layout.
