the music you are refering to was used in the movie Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. it's used in the part where they move to Bolivia and start robbing banks...

Bingo. Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid Soundtrack, track four "South American Getaway". I can't see anywhere in the info where it says who performed the track, though.

well, apparently it was the Ron Hicklin singers performing the Burt Bacharach song "South American Getaway".

also appearing with the singers was Thurl Ravenscroft who did the "you're a mean one mr. grinch" song, and was also the voice of tony the tiger.

the Ron Hicklin Singers also can be heard on tons of stuff from the 60's & 70's including the partridge family, happy days, laverne & shirley, & the monkees.

two of the main guys also performed on the good, the bad & the ugly theme, and also the suicide is painless song from m.a.s.h.(the movie).

A complete lap around Targa Florio in the GT mode Lola T70 (it tooks to me about 39 minutes being the WR for this car about 34 minutes):
I used the G25 H stick and the 3 pedals with a must clutch at 90% in the GPLShifter add on.
The damage option was selected as realistic and it was an off line practice.

Part 1 of 3:

Part 2 of 3:
(Sorry for my spanish insult at 2:27)

Part 3 (the forum just admit max two media)

Wonderful film of the Targa 1972, story told by Vic Elford:

Wonderful - but above all it shows the how faithfully the GPL team reproduced the circuit.

Congratulations to you again :thankyou:

WOW !!!  The fellow who made this comparison is a genius!  Many thanks!

... and as Paddy says, it is a real tribute to the faithfulness that the Targa team realized in re-creating the circuit.  :)

Fantastic video! Amazing how well GPL Targa matches up. Route through the last town has sure changed.  Most of the track is still there, but much of it is in pretty rough shape.

I noticed something out of the corner of my eye towards the end that made me go back and look more closely.  At 1:47:38 in the real life video there is a small parking lot to the left and what looks to be a white sign.  The sign says GPL!
