Hi folks,
thought I'd create a thread containing all of the GPL tools & things I've written over the years, nicely bundled into one place, and where better than the SRMZ Tools/Utilities forum   (okay okay, so dangermouse pointed me here...)

Please excuse all out of date links and pages!

The Racing Line
Regroove tracks and add trackside objects
http://gplea.rscsite...RacingLine.html

GPLEA Track Creating Tutorials
http://home.online.n...ing/default.htm

GPLEA Tools Download Page
Some of the links may point at old versions

GTK Maker
Create GTKs
http://gplea.rscsite...r/gtkmaker.html

GTKAlt
Create altitudes - superseded by other peoples programs
http://gplea.rscsite...alt/gtkalt.html

trk23doz
Compile tracks
http://gplea.rscsite...do/trk23do.html
(there is a trk23dozx on my hdd, might have to upload that at some point...)

GPLAnim
Create animated 3DOs
http://gplea.rscsite...im/gplanim.html

ase23do
Convert ase files to 3DO
http://gplea.rscsite...do/ase23do.html

3DOs for dummies
Written during Eurovision, I think that says a lot...

Ah! Hark, 'tis the sound of the future (or is it the past..?)

Posted Image

...So does this mean they'll finally get updated to fit the 21st century...?  <grin>    ;)

(Seriously, not to belittle their performance or usefulness, but this stuff is after all rather dated by now. It's working converters, converters, converters for modern design packages we need, outside of a complete 3D track building program.)

Nice one Guru, thanks for this. If I can find the time to carry on my track creation addiction, this will prove to be very useful.

Can I ask one question though? I'm using "trk23dow.exe" to compile tracks at the moment, as this is the program mentioned in the GPLEA tutorial that got me hooked. But I see there appear to be other versions such as your "trk23doz" listed here. Is there any reason not to use the latest "trk23doz"? I've looked at the website briefly, but it mentions a lot of technical stuff that I don't understand yet. I do get the impression that it's generally a lot more up-to-date though.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Guru, Thanks a lot you for your tools. :bowing:
Since I am working on an reall Nurburgring I have already worked with some of them. They are really excellent. Without the tools, the GPL community would certainly not have become so big.

I hope you can help me, once if I needed your help (i have eventualy a placing problem with a Object with `The Racing Line´)

I prefer my hat. :hat-tip:

Long live GPL.

It is time for a better Nurburgring!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Guru. Could you post some link to GTKmaker? I tried to download, but the link is dead.

Thanks in advance.

Marcos.

Phil isn't around much so i doubt he'll reply here

Most of the downloads point to the old and abandoned RSC Forum.

Edit: you can find most of the files here Trackmaking tools or here GPL Editing tools

Trkdoz, GPLanim, Ase23do (latest version is different from the gplea version) are below..

The racing line is posted here

Thanks Martin!

Actually by now I'm only needing the GTKmaker, which is still unavailable for me... I'm doing a new layout with GPLtrk and all indicates it's much easier and more accurate doing it with the Guru´s software.

Cheers, Marcos.

Thank you for pointing out that link to The Racing Line program.  I just missed seeing that little line with the link.
