Am I correct in saying that this should work with D3D V1 on an Nvidia card ?

I'm not seeing the difference. Sitting in the pits in a race at Monaco it's 22fps until I get away from the rest of the cars then I easily get 36, but I think I always did.

I'm not sure what difference you were expecting, but this patch has no effect on fps you achieve with the rasterisers. It simply makes Pribluda work when using the new opengl rasteriser.

Thank you brr, my mistake, I misunderstood.

Im talked a lot about FPS too... the matter is that, for me, the new rastericer arent exists before the Pribluda works using it.

No problem with doing what has to be done. Does the patched version works with the original rasterisers (no need for me) or is it then only for the new rasterisers ?

I ask because I can think about doing/releasing a pribluda version without the need to patch something :) Just like to donwload a pribluda package, start an installer (I like installers :) ) and the base work would be done :)

It works only with the old direct3d and new opengl rasterisers. The reason for removed support for the old opengl rasteriser is the difficulty of adding new code by binary patching. It was much simpler to overwrite the old opengl code with new opengl code.

I feel stupid for asking, but how do i do step 2 and 3 respectively? I am at a loss what "console" you are referring to.

Command Prompt seems to be the Official Windows Term. I'm a linux user and it shows

That's what i thought. How does it need to look like though?

"E:\GPL 2004\pribpatch.exe" pribluda.dll pribludav2.dll <-- not working
"E:\GPL 2004\pribpatch.exe pribluda.dll pribludav2.dll" <-- not working

what exactly do i need to type in there?

"cd e:\gpl 2004"
"pribpatch.exe pribluda.dll pribludav2.dll"
"copy pribludav2.dll pribluda.dll"

should work

Sorry but still dont get it, where should that go?

No way of making it a bit easier for us PC-illiterate

Start a Command Prompt (or equivalent, I don't know what its called in different versions of Windows) and type the commands there. You need to unzip the patch into your gpl directory first, as well as replace the e:\gpl 2004 with your GPL directory.

I am a Windows installer illiterate, so it would not make sense for me to do it. But I have nothing against someone else writing a proper installer, though that should probably wait until all rasterisers are supported.

brr, why not just make the actual dll file available and then people can just swap by renaming? I know it's nice to have an installer for those that aren't so computer literate, but an installer that uses DOS kind of defeats the object! I like to think of myself as being fairly confident with file manipulation in Windows (renaming/moving etc) in fact I rarely trust an installer and usually create dummy folders so I can see exactly what I'm getting. However any time I try to use DOS I struggle, there was a reason Windows was so succesful when first released!!

The license akamal put on his Pribluda prevents distributing a modified version.

Ah, I see. So you give people the means to modify their own, get it now!

I don't object if someone writes and posts such a batch file  ;)
