I have a nvidia and i only get 60hz, somehow i have to figure a way out to change that to higher hz.
I've used nVidia for years now, and I used to have plenty of problems with various pieces of software selecting the wrong refresh rates for my monitor. For example, when Doom 3 came out, I was stuck with 60Hz like you are now. My solution is to install a utility called "RivaTuner" from Guru 3D
. It can look quite complicated when you first install it and look at the control screen, but when you find the refresh rate control screen it's fairly straightforward. You simply select the resolution (or range
of resolutions) that you want to control, and tell RivaTuner what refresh rate to use. It boots up with Windows and sits in your system tray at the bottom right, and every time the resolution changes, it sets the right refresh for you. Problem solved. I hope it helps.
P.S. I'm running version 2.10 at the moment, but it looks like there's a newer one on the website, version 2.22.
