Hi Iestyn

Added you as a buddy on GPL Rank,  :wow: you have some seriously fast times!!

Your not that far away from your goal, but those remaining seconds will take some time and laps to get.

Good Luck

@ Iestyn: judging on your PB's on most original tracks you should be able to go pretty easy sub8 at the Ring in a couple chassis'. Then you have got your goals as well. ;)

@ Pedro: it's kind af hard switching in between mods and go back to the 67 brutes, isn't it?

That said, I'm not focussing too much on my rankings despite what I said before, because I want to focus on 67/65/F2 leagueracing and also doing more reports and vid's. We'll see how it goes...

Because I run in Groundhog 67 Season, with original tracks, I have been able to break the -60 barrier recently...still looking for -65/-350...

Basically need a 7m55s at the Ring, and improve Monaco times first...but little time for hotlapping in GPL67...mostly leagueracing with all kinds of mods as well...

Yes its difficult to "rank attack" when preparing for league races.

my goal is -350 too .... all Iestyn needs is some Nurby practice then 350 will come easy ;-).

Tbh I should try a little more for Nurby too and finally try to coax some out of the Lotus a little more

Pedro, there will always be people faster and slower. It's just what reference point you take. Comparing is nice, but hotlapping is basically getting the most out of yourself, and trying to improve your own times. Setting goals and trying to reach them. But again, my priorities lie with leagueracing and racesetups.

Also, you're a total ranker which deserves a lot of admiration in itself as well. And running at Targa like you do is impossible for me ;) Having a negative rank with GPL deserves respect anyhow, then you belong to the "elite" being a persistent simracer. ;) And remember, you have quite a lot dutch records! :) You're a very respectable simracer, and deserve a lot of respect!

I was just looking at some listings of my laptimes today (using GPLStats) when I realised that I've passed a bit of a landmark. I now have over 5,000 recorded laptimes for GPL. I don't think I'll ever get tired of driving GPL, there's always some new combination of track and car to try! :)

Thanks  Pedro! Not sure if I can stay sane long enough to do that! :hithead:
I can't work out the exact figure, but with your Monster of TotalRank you must have an impressive total too. Keep on rocking! :punk: :3gears:

Have improved my F2 rank, and looking for more. Also want the F2 monsterrank complete and see if I can beat Georg Busch. But little chance to complete it this year I think. Too many leagueraces, mostly 67, 66, 65 and F2.

My goal in F2 is thus the topspots in both Rank and Monsterrank, in time. ;) Have driven 25 WR's for F2 recent months, but of course little competition sadly so far for some tracks...

Watch out mate, this virus can grow very fast :)

Oh well,
to bad,
there is no cure for this.
Happy hunting!
There is nothing so satisfaction of receiving your goals.
Go for it.

Dank je, mijn vriend :)

Not sure if i will reach my goals, but i will give it my best ;) I love simracing, especially leagueracing, it's so much fun even though sometimes it's frustration when you suffer from bad luck you can't do anything about...but there's always the next race ;)

And a lot of tracks and cars to hotlap in ;) Other sims will prolly have to wait another decade :D

Cheers Craig, buddy ;) Respect for your ranks, lots of driving for me to do to achieve that ;)

PS: tell Craig Leech I'm hunting down some of his WR's, I think I've already bettered a few at Vallelunga!? Even though his smooth driving style is superior to my scrappy one ;)

Hello Pedro, nice to hear from you again!

I'm still here, occasionally driving GPL, but not as often as I used to. I still haven't found anything to beat it as a racing/driving sim, but there are so many interesting and good-value games around on the PC now that I spend a lot of time doing other things.

I see your new times, not just completing the '65 TotalRank, but improving the '65 Rank also. Well done! You've pushed me down one spot, but it looks like your TotalRank time isn't too far in front of me, so I might get some inspiration to jump in the Lotus again myself and see if I can catch up!

I'm still (slowly) trying to complete a TotalRank for the GTs, 69x, F2 and Can-Am, but I'm in no rush. I enjoy the different feel of the cars from those mods, so instead of being single-minded and completing the TotalRank with just one type of car, I prefer completing a decent laptime at a circuit, and then switching to one of the other mods to use the track knowledge to get a reasonable time.

Happy lapping! :3gears:

Cheers, :drunk:

Keith.

Hi Pedro

Still driving but not as often as I once did, real life takes a precedence these days.

Did get motivated over the last 2 days to complete my Totalrank again in the 67's, Lee's sound patch seems to have made me faster :Meter:

Congrats for going negative in the 65 rank and for completing another Totalrank :clap2:

Patiently waiting for our next  :newtrk:

Nice one Pedro :)

Craig/\Keith: there will be hotlap events again at Groundhog, check out the Events schedule  ;)

Mostly improving ranktimes when I have to test for upcoming leagueraces...actually bettered an ancient 67 Spa PB yesterday :P Want to complete my 65 BT11 rank, and generally improve my 65 rank...also still improving 67 ranks...with less leagueracing I could  make great strides still...

We'll see :)
