The original site over HERE links to an RSC thread, and as they are still having so many unsolved problems and the track is unavailable, we are now mirroring the track.

http://home6.inet.te...norup/roskilde/

Anton

Installation, optimising frame rate.

Run the Trackinstall.exe, and follow the instructions given by the program.
The track has been confirmed to run in D3D and OpenGl.
It may be possible to use a 3DFX card by copying the files in the "advertisements_light" folder to your track folder.
Software mode will work. It is recommended to copy the files in the "advertisements_light" folder to your track folder. Distant track textures will be incorrectly coloured.
If you find the advertisements on the tarmac too blurry for your taste, try to install the files in the "tarmac_crisp" folder. Beware that depending on your hardware and drivers, the sharper textures may result in a flickering appearance.
The track has a high polygon count, especially in the start/finish area. Many will experience frame rate drops in this section, especially when close to a pit full of cars or on the starting grid.
Some alternative textures may improve frame rate, although they do not make much difference in my experience:
The "advertisements_light" folder contains 4bit, 256 pixel length textures that replaces 16bit, 512 pixel length textures.
The "horizon_light" folder contains 4bit 64 by 64 pixel textures that replaces 16 bit 256 by 256 pixel textures.
Copy the contents of these folders to your "..\gpl\tracks\roskilde\" folder.
A much more effective way of improving frame rate is to set the "Trackside Objects" option to "few" or "many" instead of "all". This will dramatically reduce the number of visible objects - but those with collision volumes will still be visible.
Still problems with frame rate after all these steps? Consider if any carset you have installed may be too demanding.

Thanks you for making this track available. Sounds like you are going to be busy mirroring files originally posted at rsc.

Is there any chance that you will upload this track again, now that RSC is temporarily out of the air again? :thanks:

This track is incompatible with the GT mod due to the use of a porsche.3do track object.

Put the files in the attached zip in the track directory to fix this problem :)

Thanks Mech. Not sure if I've driven at this track but I've only just noticed the name is not Rokslide. I must be dicslexy  :idunno:

I'm still (slowly) trying to complete my GT TotalRank, and just came across the Roskilde Ring compatibility problem. Quick search on SRMZ and now fixed!
Thanks Mech!
