That visionary (well..... he must be using night goggles or something....   ) known as Fast Tommi has released his Night Mod. There have been people waiting for this for a while, and now it is ready.

Please be aware that this is a FANTASY MOD. There have never been any Grand Prix races run in the dark (that we are aware of). If you do not like fantasy mods for GPL - do NOT download it. If on the other hand you are willing to just have some good fun, close the curtains, switch off the lights and be prepared for a treat.


****Before installing*****
While you are downloading the Night Mod, PLEASE read the installation guide so that you will have less problems installing the mod. There is an errata: it says you must have the original Papy tracks installed - this is no longer the case. (They will be released separately later on.)

During the installation of the mod, please remember to look at the readme so you may note all the people that helped him and/or gave permissions for their contributions to GPL to be allowed to be used in this mod.

EDIT: Night Mod download available again. For anyone that has the previous download of the Night Mod and installed the new GEM and find that the car pictures no longer show up, HERE is a fix for the undocumented change in GEM.

This really looks like fun.      Thanks Tommi and to the MZ for the host.

One question:  the GPLEA cars are required for the install.  Is that covered by the cars included in the 2004 Demo, or are some of the bits used in the full GPLEA cars install and would therefore require the full GPLEA cars install?

Program downloaded and installed without any trouble at all.
I haven't had a chance to try all the tracks yet.
This gives me a good excuse to stay up late after my sons have gone to bed.
It's starting to get dark so the fun begins soon!  :clap

...and, of course DANGERMOUSE for tons of work to get that installer working and helping hands for every problems I had.

Without him the nitemod would´nt exist!!
