Hocke30 historical flags &c
Posted Jul 08 2005 - 08:10 PM
as a serious historian, I wanted to make Sergio's Hocke30 more historically accurate. So first, I copied the "tractor.3do" and renamed it "bus.3do" (place in track folder): this replaces the modern ambo with a tractor. Then we have the flag problem, with the modern German flag (and all the others really, since only domestic races were run there (32-37, no race in 33))

I've made some accurate flags (actually "banners" vexillologically speaking) and will upload them here, having received the Very Kind Permission of Mr Loro.
There are 12 flags in Sergio's track (each used twice) The German one is flag06. So rename whatever you like appropriately. I made 3:
1. The German tricolour; co-national flag until Sept. 35.
2. swfinal: yes, the Hakenkreuz on a white disc on a red field; co-national flag with #1 until Sept.35, when it became the National flag.
3. NSKK house flag: this is the flag of the Deutsche Automobil-Club e.V. It was founded in 1933 to get control over all the various national car associations that existed in Germany at that time, and was a co-sponsor of the construction of the track. The program cover from 38 shows the NSKK pennant in the corner. So, depending on the date, you can use the appropriate flags given here.
These are designed and provided solely in the interests of historical accuracy only.

thanks tpower for the update .
just in case, i want to say even i authorized tpower to released this flags i dont want to offend or make "feel sick" anyone. i just allow to released this flags from a "very sad and dark" era of Germany because of "historical accuracy".
if you check at some of my 30´s tracks i never used a Nazi flag or logo.
just use if you want and if you dont like it you have the original ones.
enjoy to drive
