I think most of us have the Nr2003 no-CD hack. Great, for Nr2003. But...

If you're running the GTP v1.1 mod, you already know it requires a CD inserted in the drive. Even if you have a no-CD hacked EXE installed in Nr2003. And while Nero or Easy CD Creator will copy the Nr2003 CD to a CD-R or CD-RW  well enough to install the game from, it won't run the copy with the GTP v1.1 mod.

This is because of the Nr2003 CD copy protection used, namely SecuROM 4.8+.

I've been working with various methods to backup my Nr2003 Cd so it won't wear out, and here is the process that I had most luck with -

CloneCD: Copying SecuROM 4.8x protected games  http://club.cdfreaks...ead.php?t=78259

It requires CloneCD, a BWA file (linked), and the Twinpeaks utility (also linked). I've heard reports that CloneCD 5.1.x will copy SecuROM CDs without the Twinpeaks patch, but my experience is that it would not. The tutorial uses CloneCD 4.x, but I used 5.1.00 with success.
