Hi all!

I want to know if that's possible and if so... which computer and connection do you think would be necessary.  If somebody already tested it, his experience will be more than welcomed :)

Cheers, Marcos.

I see 2 ways - 1 PC hosting and driving - or 2 PCs, one hosting and one to drive?

IMO there is no problem with both solutions, the internet connection isn't much stressed by both, but a stable provider should be chosen.

Personally I prefer the 2 PCs as I allready had
- that another driver with a bad connection discoed and took me out with him - server was unaffected
- tracks with holes, I get a Freeze - server is not affected!

Singion live streamed yesterday's oAo race on Twitch.
He has also been streaming while he drives, comments, etc off his server PC.

Lasse and Alekhine have been working on it also.

Thanks Axel and John!

My idea was using 2 computers: one to host (not dedicated) and broadcasting, and one to drive.

In this case the broadcasting could be from any car (not necessarily the mine) and if I have a freeze while racing, the entire server wouldn't be affected.

I think my connection will be similar to the one Axel has

Thanks again, Marcos

I have no idea of streaming, and indeed ask why should anyone watch a live stream if not big event....

But Teamspeak gives a great benefit to a league - even if you use it only before and after the race.

Well, I see it as a way to attract people to gpl, if it's posted in simracing groups of facebook, for example. But I agree that it probably isn't that effective.

I don't use it because my concentration is always in an unstable equilibrium, but Mybroga guys use Discord in the cell phones while racing gpl and they say it's great :)

It depends... i don't get impacted from the extra gpu load from broadcasting as i'm using a seperate gpu for the video encoding.

As for network... gpl itself doesn't need much bandwith...

Hello Marcos,

I have a GPLRACER YouTube Race Videos channel
https://www.youtube....3PbAClyaUT4Xy5g

I don't stream the GPLRACER videos live from the server because my Mini Server (it's about the size of a cigarette packet) can't stream for lack of a graphics card and system power.

I use the server replays to create the race videos.
I use:
- GPL Replaydirector savedReplays patch (by Olaf Lehmann http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=12427)
- capturing with OBS Studio (MKV format), cut with Avidemux, edit with CyberLink PowerDirector

I once streamed live from my driving PC while the race was hosted on my Mini Server. This worked without any technical problems. But since it's not that interesting to watch me driving for 45 minutes in cockpit view, I didn`t use it. I think it's just too boring in the long run.

With Olaf's patch versions, however, you have the possibility to see great camera views of all drivers (cockpit, TV 1, ...) both as a live stream (can live broadcast the Pribluda driver list and times) and from replays (can not show the Pribluda display).

Here are my settings for my GPLRACER race videos:
