Crash to desktop, while driving or attempting to make a replay. Not every time but most of the time. I've actually been able to make a few replays. I've searched the forums and found nothing. I've got the V2 rasterizers, tried upping the Replay Memory Override which is currently set at 262144, changing DirectMirrorRendering to 0, and did a fresh install on a properly functioning GPL using a fresh downloaded copy of the mod, all to no avail. I've checked to see if it's a problem with virus or malware interfering but it isn't. DEP is currently turned off.

This mod is great, btw. I look forward to racing with it.

Tried it, didn't help. I just tried compatibility mode for Win XP Service Pack 2 with no luck.

Hockenheim 67 (hockenhm) I also tried the Grenzlandring with the same result, ctd when trying to make a replay. How many laps is our race on Wednesday?

Wednesday's race is 18 laps. Is there a particular location on the track the ctd happens most of the time, did you install the graphic updates?

I was thinking that too so I ran the 67 Eagle at the the same track with the same graphics and no ctd. I haven't noticed a particular spot where it happens. Later I will try it without any graphic updates and see how it is. I ran a 1:45.xx in one of the cars only to get a ctd when I tried to make a replay. I was not a happy camper.

I drove several laps in every car and got two ctd's both while driving the Lola T222 while exiting the last corner. Not sure if it made any difference that the Lola T222 I was driving was blue, because I normally have a red one.

Yeah, I've had multiple CTDs with both the T222 and T260. I did 19 laps with the Ferrari and took a replay without a problem. I just did 6 laps in the Shadow and crashed when attempting a replay. All at Hockenheim but, like I stated before, I've experienced CTDs at Wegberg in the T260 when trying for a replay.

Where on the track are you stopping to save the replay, because one of my ctd was at the finish line when I hit escape to exit and save the replay.

Not sure where they all happen, but very often near the start/finish or maybe just the pit straight. Just now had a CTD in the M8D exiting the last turn, while driving, entering the pit straight.

Another CTD at Hockenheim while attempting a replay, in the M8B/C/E.

Hockenheim 67 (hockenhm)

On our GPLRACER Track Blacklist Hockenheim 67 (hockenhm) was listed to cause problems (orange), but we have changed it too fixed (green) with the updates/ fixes by Ginetto and Tato.
Please see here for details and links to their updates:
GPL Track Blacklist (ENGLISH section)
http://neuforum.gplr...0929d3e874#p137

Our last GPLRACER cup race on hockenhm was on 17.01.2013, but with the 1967 F2 mod.
Therefore I don`t know if the fixes also help with the 1971 Can-Am mod. We know that problems with a track can be different with different mods.
But the updates/ fixes by Ginetto and Tato might be worth a try if you haven`t installed them yet. :)

Hockenheim issues were fixed by Ginetto shortly after the GT mod was released.

With Funliga and UKGPL we had lots of races here and the fixed track is not known for issues anymore.

With the Funliga we raced there with all mods (incl CANM71) with the 60fps patches

The races of UKGPL are here: https://www.simracin...on=17&circuit=0

Even with the L├Ąchele upgrade it's not too heavy for my GT1030 (in mint20...)

(the low fps in my pics is from the screenshot utility - in race is stable 60fps!)

Wow! Stefan Roess, Cookie (aka Axel), Ginetto, and Tato, thank you so much for your tireless effort to keep this sim going. I really like the track blacklist. I can foresee that coming in handy.

Hi all

The other issue I am getting with Can Am 71 at Hockenheim 67 is the force feedback feeling and response on the straights. It feels too sensitive and pulls too much with small driver input. I will have another chance to practice and run this event with VOR ADC friday. T Johnson suggested better toe-in values but it still feels as though the basic default setup is faulty for this track. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks.

Hi again

Well, I managed to reduce the over-sensitive steering (It almost feels like reversed FF) by at least half by combining TJ's toe-in settings and UA's high wing settings suggestion. But also I noticed if I stay  on the light colored middle part of the track, the steering over-sensitivity is less there.

I was able to run decent 1:44 s offline.

Cheers.

For Hockenheim you should not use def settings, reduce the wings to a minimum else you are lost without tow.
And calculate the top gear for a 300m tow - make it much longer

wich car do u use?

PS
Fastest car is the Shadow...

Hey, Paul...

Slow down your steering ratio.  I found that this helps tame the twitchy nature that you seem to be describing.

Percy seems to have fixed his gremlins.  He made the show last night with the ADC and got a finish.
