Thank you very much for the links!. I've been looking at some Formula 2 magazines from 1967 and 1968, but I see it's hard to get those relics......

Schlegelmilch's books are also quite interesting, and dirt cheap now.

Thanks for that heads-up jgf.  I've just ordered a 2nd hand copy of Formula 1 1950 - today, from abebooks for the absurdly small price of about $7.
291 pages, mostly photographs, lots to look at when it arrives :dino:

Paddy try this book shop. Would you believe I've never called in, even though it's just round the corner from me.

Bottom of page is their eBay shop link.

they were very large tirage of schlegelmich book , and they wont get any value,  wich is not the case of many motorsport books , and i dont talk only of old antique like Pomeroy  or Klemantaski books even  relatively recent books of the 80s 90s or even  later by haynes or motorbooks  , who were sold 40 dollars or so are now already at 100-200 dollars on the used book market  EBay- ABEbook ect

Same for old games. I'm just scanning eBay for big box games (because I love em) and man are they priced high 🤭😠

That book is my absolute favourite picture book. I remember using part of my university student loan to buy a copy when it came out, I wanted it that bad! I treasure it still, some 18 or so years later. I get lost staring at the pictures, noticing the little details captured in time forever. Love it, love it, love it! There are so many fantastic shots, it's hard to know where to begin: the shot of another hero of mine Dan Gurney in the misty Nurburgring pits in '68 or that wonderful shot of Sir Jackie Stewart kissing Lady Helen after the race or the eerie shot of Chris Amon taking off his helmet after the tragic Monaco 67 race and that the famous shot of Dan Gurney and Jim Clark from Spa (64)?

Why I now keep away from bookshops and model shops :hithead:
About half my Motor Racing books and my greatly thinned out model collection
