In the 1965 mod for gpl, get the pole in every track by a huge margin and I use pro long and the fastest car. Any sort of patch or fix of this?

Be sure you are using AI Speed = 1 in GEM+
Because if you have it set at 0 it will just adjust to your personal pace and will overwrite the setting in the track.ini but with a delay of a dozens of races.
Then you can adjust this value by little amounts of increases or decreases to fit your liking.

Another option; if you want to have your own AI speed in a specific track, then copy paste track.ini and rename it track65.ini
change the values to your liking:

[ GP ]
dlong_speed_adj_coeff = 1.024   ; value modifies dlong velocities (i.e. RELS) in .LP  {1.00 67 1.024 65}
dlong_speed_maximum = 2.500      ; max. dlong speed (meters/tick) for .LP after all modifiers

and all these changes will be exclusive to 65 MOD cars

I tried it and to be specific, I was testing this on the east london circuit, and just posted a chill lap time of 1:34. but in the quali sessions, the best of jack brabham and jim clark can only mach of a 1:36. so it doesnt really work. another thing i have a problem with is that the 67 mod is WAY too hard. the AI are setting laps seconds faster than the actual pole time at the 67 monaco gp. I cant even come near their lap times and it is just so wierd.

with AI set to zero my AI are doing 1:26's for pole and about 1:29's for the tail end Charlies
I'm mid pack running about 1:27's and im not the fastest driver around
just keep running laps the AI should get faster with time

ginetto, if you change the .ini settings do you need to delete the mod .exe so GEM can rebuild it?

No, you don't need to do that but you need to delete the whole part at the end where  it says:
[ DEFAULT:GP ]

otherwise GEM+ will overwrite your changes with the ones in that section

To answer to OP
Just change your track65.ini using these values:

[ GP ]
dlong_speed_adj_coeff = 1.066

It will give you the pole in the 22s and 10 drivers in the 24s

Thanks for that information Ginetto about the [ DEFAULT:GP ]! I have made heaps of changes to track specific .inis over the years and I have never worked out why GEM would rebuild some and not others. I have tried searching SRMZ and GPLR many times but I couldn't find the answer.

Thanks again. :thumbup:

The Default section is a pain if, like me, you like to tune AI speeds for every race using the Hype and Qualifying settings for each driver. Can't remember now who told me to look out for it.
