Forced Auto Clutch & Blip:
Following applies to player without a H-Shifter and shifter plugin (such as GPLshift):
1. Auto clutch is forced to engage on gear shift or car at a stop.
Reference: "In GPL the car will never stall at a stop with the cluctch engaged." ( http://srmz.net/inde...t=15#entry70077 )
2. Auto blip on downshift, and no way to disable. (unless using H-Shifter & shifter plugin)
Reference: "Once you enable GPLShift for any H-shifter, the auto blip is disabled in GPL." ( http://srmz.net/inde...434 )
Also the same thread "Correct Shifting Technique" has interesting info & videos, worth checking ( http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=9434 ), a lot later posts centered around clutchless shifting.
Shifting Times & H-Shifter Advantage:
1. GPL uses a hard-coded 0.222 seconds shifting times, paddle shifter/button can't get faster beyond this.
2. GPLshift allows player to bypass this limit, but still requires a H-Shifter; it also disables auto clutch & auto blip.
Detailed discussion can be found in this mega thread ( http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=7251 ), with lots data and testing from the community.
Note: to achieve faster shifting times still requires specific techniques and practice (some are mentioned in the above link, as well as the long but insightful debate).
Gplshift V0.7.9.0 ( http://srmz.net/inde...?showtopic=5949 )
Fairshift Version 2.1, with original 0.222 sec limit ( http://srmz.net/inde...showtopic=11632 )
Thanks to the creators.
Any idea and suggestion will be appreciated, thanks.
Also thanks to John Woods for helping.
