Hey guys!
Is there any possibility of mod69x to mod69z?
Where this Z would be the same mod but did not use down force?

I would like to have a championship with these cars totally without down force
I know this is possible using the 0 setting, But there may be mistrust.
Is this installation without down force a great option for a new mod68?

I did it but with the mod69 and using directly the Irridux 68 carset.

1968 Grands Prix is copy of 1969 Grands Prix
68CARS is Irridux Carset
you must add GPLC68.cst in MODS/GEM+

They started using wing in 68, so why would you want no downforce for 68 ?

But it was not effective.. if not detrimental at all! During the Monaco Grand Prix in '69 drivers had the chance to use wings during practice, but not during the qualifying session and the race due to the events occurred in Spain. They found out that they were 1 second a lap faster without those gull high wings. In fact, they were completely redesigned after that, not only due to safety reason.
The only one with effective wings I believe was Ferrari. It was mounted on the roll-bar and engine, so it was firm and stable, and it wasn't that much high so to lose all effectiveness. Still, it was just a simple plane wing, so what difference could it really make?

Paul, I have a league with the 69x, and I would like to have another, but without the downforce.

Would be great option for another characteristic mod ,

The beginning of the season 1968 I love it, machines with great power, without wings and beautiful designs.

There are two requests here.

Jonny wants for his league a 69x mod but with disabled downforce.

Everyone else is asking about a 1968 mod.

@Johnny - When we did 69 originally we did not have downforce because Nigel had not discovered it at that time. And the mod only had 7 slots.
So could you use that old 69mod ?

For 68 to do it properly you would need to have wing /downforce to be used later in the season because by round 6 most of the cars had some kind of aero assistance.

Exactly Paul, I would like a mod69x for my league, disabled down force.
Because mod69x has many graphical options and so I can manage the custom carset for each rider and with competitive cars.

I think the mod69 disabled down force was interesting, because 50% of 68 was like that, meaning it would be interesting to take advantage of 69x work for this, mainly due to the lack of people able to help in the works.

Finally, this option is for my league and for the fans 68 jobs :)

But Paul, if it is to facilitate the work I am pleased to use the old mod69 disabled downforce

Sorry to disagree with you Paul, but the original 69 mod definitely had downforce. Making adjustments to the wing settings made a big difference to the cornering behaviour and top speed of the cars.
