i made a new set of ai for pau67 in 2010 (not 2002, in 2002 i have even not heard of gpl).
in 2012, i contributed to the F2F3 66 mod made by ed76 (testing, brainstorming and adjustments of the ai files)
Pau was a round of the F3 championship in 66.
the files mentionned by Greg may be those ones...
not sure
but never mind.

Hello Ezechiel, glad to know you are still working on AI stuff too. In my opinion you are one of the best GPL AI makers ever, both for quality and quantity. I have most of yours installed in my rig. Infact if/when I'm interested in a new track but for my tastes AI is not good enough to totally :crap:, this is my process to solve:

- search for Ez AI: --> if yes, go for it!
                               --> if not, 'pity and damn, another pain in the ass, I need to do it by myself, hoping I may able to go close to Ez...'  :P

About Dessau, since I've already started yesterday to give a look, I think I will go on with my own AI and release it too if I find something usable: in that case two new AI sets will be better than one, and yours better than mine for sure!

Greg,  that is because thinking twice I had some doubt between Ezechiel and Ed 76 , remembering Ezechiel improved sometimes is former AI's files.

Because GPL is always and still the best imho, even for AI routines: ever racing sim I've tried after - especially the ones based on gmotor2 - are very far behind, even Assetto Corsa is not excellent like GPL is. Just my opinion, of course, also GPL AI have some limitations like at close hairpins i.e., but we are talking about an era when PC computing capabilities were ridiculous compared with nowadays.

When you search some ai files, dont forget the marvelous job of Pavel (he is my reference, you know) and the tools made by Mech, Nigel and Lee Bowden to improve AI.

Im very happy to see skilled newcomers interested in improving the great mother of all the sims.

Making AI for Dessauer is a real challenge because of hairpins and quick turns. Im not sure my files will be better than yours, Tato (your files for glen48 are quite good) but for sure, two propositions will be better than one and people will choose the ones they prefer. So go...

And i agree with you : the Ai of gpl is quite good even in comparison with modern sims

I imagine the AI for Dessauer would be difficult.  Those hairpins are trouble!!  :)

To be true Greg had asked me aout AI for Dessauer some time ago too. First of all I couldn't maka one clean lap to make race main line :D I could make several replays for several track parts and then combined them to one perfect line. But I gave up :P  Also I'm worry about hairpin (second turn). Potentially it's good passing place. AI will try to outbrake opponents there. But I'm doubt they will be able to complete clean turn after that. If you prevent AI from passing there, then you end up with unrealistick 'train race'. Fast turns is not so big problem for this track. I think it's possible to make AI go well through such sections by adjusting lateral speed.

Thank you for trying to make good AI for Dessauer, guys.  It is a truly beautiful track... and (it seems like) a super track to race the '55 AI cars.  :)

Hi all,

so, some ai updates as promised.
specially for 55 mod
tested with 17 cars in intermediate and pro

aintree : 3 new lp files and a track55.ini a little bit tweaked

ardmore : idem

avus50s : some new flags into the race.lp and a track55.ini

ba55n2 : some tweaks into the track55.ini to avoid the issue mentionned by ptracer (the other original ai files are quite good)

bremgart : 2 pass.lp files and some adjustments into the track55.ini

and my interpretation of dessau for 55 mod : 2 pass.lp files, some new flags into the race.lp and a track55.ini

install : back-up your original files, unzip the update and drop the ai files into the concerned track folder
