Guys, Lou made this post after he was told that there were people still having problems online:
"Stefan, was there any particular place on the circuit where this occurred? Often the same place will cause the fault. It can be one person in one place, but affect others. If someone had an off, or a crash somewhere when the incidents occurred, that will help narrow down where the bug is located.
Also, if the clients did not apply the patch, this could have a negative impact on THEIR experience. The game physics are both client and local. The server would be independent of the clients physics."
Nobody answered him or agreed that both the server and EACH client connecting to it MUST have his patched ricard.trk file installed.

EDIT: A little info on the GPL Track Database entry for this track. The database has the Real Life actual track length for this configuration. Our GPL track (ricard) is longer. This is from the ricard.trk length. Also, as to the year that should be designated - Olivier Grand states that although the French GP was held between 1986-1990 on this track, that his version has "Grey gravel (like in 1988)". The database reflects this. I have adjusted the track.ini for ricard and supply it below.
EDIT 2: I just noticed that there is a SRMZ link at the GPL database. It points to a list of 'add on' files for ricard. Please do not use the ones called 'ricard_replay_fix' or 'replay_fix' - they provide an out of date ricard.3do file. The one that is in the Paul Ricard v2 dat file is the current file. But, DO USE the ricard.trk file supplied by Lou in this Topic.
