Molto bene, Dave!
To hear the interviews with Amon and Shelby.... I would have given my left nut for this stuff back in 1967 as a teenager!!! The footage of the teams' various methods of "transporters" for their race cars - incredible. The old Ferrari double-decker truck/bus, the Ford Econoline pulling a flat-bed trailer and a Mk.IV, and Chaparral with the Chevy pichup with camper topper in the back and that cool golf cart looking trailer for the high-wing 2F...... awesome.
Is that Villoresi (with white hair) walking while giving an interview? Cool.
A whole 'nother world back then. Drivers on exiting the car in the pits would "debrief" with the co-driver(s) and team mechanics/tire techs..... very quickly and with loads of animation!
On a P4 stop an animated Forghieri is frustrated that the course officials take too much time to 'seal' the fuel tank caps!
The fantastic moment, in the morning, when the crowd cheers as Scarfiotti climbs into a P4 and speeds away from the pits....classic!!
Great film footage of '67 Le Mans. Thank you.
There was no internet, very little TV coverage (on maybe 3 or 4 channels).... the only way to get our "fix' was from Road & Track, Car & Driver or Competition Press & Autoweek.
