And what do I have to do to use it as player? Only dropping the file into brm folder does not work

Yes. I´m using stratos rocks and I see in the replay the yellow alpine. Maybe is because of the numbers. The yellow Alpine is number 4 and the metalic blue is 10. There is also two number 15 in the AI and a light blue Alpine with no numbers at all.

Try with a race of 19cars,at last one must be blue. If so your driver.ini is not correct and can't show the player car in blue.Follow what Mech suggest for the driver.ini.

MECH didn´t say what I have to do to make the metalic blue alpine the player´s car. Maybe rename it ALP4.mip ?

Mech says

Quote

Are you using the driver.ini provided in the update or the stock one?
That would be normally the problem for having the wrong skins.
Anyway if you run a race with 19 cars, you are able to see(not to drive) the Alpine blue.
Be sure to have applied the right driver.ini provided with the last version of the mod.
Anyway is not the number of the car but the name of the mip file. The original file is without number if i'm not wrong.
When you drop into the folder the mip used is that uotside nthe dat,if the others files are not compressed in the dat ,normally the program ask if you whant to overwrite.

The Stratos mod uses the car number 4 as the player car.
In this case the alpine is in the brm slot so you need to use the skins the brm4.3do uses.
Which is brm4.mip for the main skin (ALPmain1.mip) and Themain2.mip as the mip for the other parts of the car (ALPmain2.mip)

I believe it's explained in this forum a number of times how GPL adresses skins.
It might help understanding how this works and ease installation of skins if you'ld invest time reading that.

Here's a link that might be usefull http://srmz.net/inde...7055#entry64504 or not :P

Thanks again MECH and francesco. It´s a bit confusing but I´ll have a try. As I understood, I have to match the name of 3do with mip file and driver .ini.

Francesco, you might also upload your driver file (drivRX.ini) for the Stratos/Alpine Mod from the main 'GPL' folder.  That file, as MECH says, ties in with the AI drivers in your brm folder.  :)

I have updated, but i have used a BRM folder with others mip than that contained in the dat.So i think that if he use my folder all could be ok.The only problem is that my folder contain also work in progress for the yellow one ,but is enough to replace the mip with the original.

Chris, I have the yellow Alpine like you after adding the three new mips, sure I have the latest driver.ini. Did you have to rename things ?
