Monza Textures By Culmone67?
Posted Jan 04 2015 - 02:49 AM
I just want to ask if someone uses the monza textures by culmone67?
They are looking pretty good and i wanted to test these files.
The problem is, i'm unable to go on the drivingitalia forum.
I got this message "Could not determine your IP address"!
This is a screenshot of the textures.

It would be nice, if someone could help me.

I tried to download it again but file is no longer up on Drivingitalia's server. If anyone else has it, please share.
By the way, I found this while looking for an alternative download http://www.grandprix...s.fr/article-95 with many updates avalaible. Also an improved groove files that I did not have before and that I'm really happy to have found, it is way better than papy's one.

It will be my new Monza for sure. I'm surprised it's been hidden from this forum for so long, or did I just miss it?

So, anybody who doesn't like the dark asphalt. Just remove the asphalt.mip.

EDIT if you have the updated monza.dat still inside your monza folder that would explain why deleting the asphal.mip worked. Gpl is grabbing the one inside your dat which is still an updated one. Check your dat, if it's from 1998 then look for the other one, the updated one, if it is from something like 2005-2006 then leave everything as it is.

Or did you mean an improved racing line for Monza?
I know that you can regroove tracks using replays with a tool (not that i remember exactly how haha) but from what i recall, it didn't look anywhere near as good as properly grooved normal circuits.
Still, might be helpful for Monza.
I think i used it for Mexico as the default groove is really confusingly different to what i would expect, which really doesn't help! Either it's bad, or there are very different lines for that track! Probably i'm bad too haha.

I wouldn't say that it's the best or the most accurate, I would rather say that it's a pretty good alternative to the "monza dat" update we have. The horizon made by Culmone is completely wrong though, so replace it with Laechele's
