Thought I'd share a YT link to Guy Martin's Robot car documentary.

I couldn't get all the programme but here's a clip, showing an interesting bit.

Doesn't show the bit where the AI car drives itself.

Frightening but interesting prospect, not just for Motorsport but vehicles in general 😀

Who would want to see real driverless cars racing ? Not me.

I think these boffins are very clever but just because something is possible it des not mean it should happen.

Formula E is boring enough. Replacing the driver as well would just be a big expensive yawn.

Sometimes its hard to pick the most boring racing to watch.
The worst thing tho would be being at the track watching driverless cars.

Think its more just proof of concept?

AI-driven cars are just Heaven for the insurance companies: they don't have to pay because nobody was actually driving, but the owner faces all the costs.

Who would win the drivers world championship 😀

I am glad that when all engine fuelled  vehicles are so called removed from the roads. In about 20 years, I'll be well retired and sitting in my high seat chair, in a retirement home 😂

I don't know, Formula E is pretty interesting for me. Of course it has its mistakes but races are actually pretty good when we take it that courses are often very short with a very few chances for overtake. Also like it or not this is a future for motorsport (i don't think Roborace though) and there is nothing to do with it. I'm still pretty young ( :D) so i'm haven't problem with these types of changes as lot of others.  It's like: Ok kinda new stuff let's see how it develops (for example that new electric gt championship with Tesla's). But for me is very important factor of driver so Roborace is nothing for me :)
