I did race there 2 years ago with axp 1900+, 512mb and R9550SE 128MB. 36fps all the time and that gpu was muuuch slower than GF4 series. I think it was same level with GF2 or something  :D

Thx Ginetto for your efforts in making a fix for Zeltweg. Unfortunately out of 13 drivers, 5 had screenfreeze/disco in a 66 mod race and they all had your fix installed.

Would be a shame not to use this track, the rest of us had a ball  :D

So 40% got problems,
how was the rate before? the same or worst?

That was why I wondered if you had rebuilt it.

It is a while since I had looked at it, but when I did before for Paul I came to the conclusion that a lot of the sections in the trk did not join up and so there were gaps in the 3do compiled from that.

FIX for Zeltweg 1970 (Ronnie Bresich version)

I did the serious work now;
recompiled the whole thing , did a couple of fix in the textures also. ;)
Groove is from '67 WR holder Ivan Tierno :cool:

Thanks for the fix Ginetto, if you do anymore updates to this track, I was wondering if you could use this 3do...

It has a great racing line from an old update from Uotymab. :)

Ginetto, your effort is greatly appreciated, just a small fact, it is a good idea when this fix be correct to allocate on a more suitable thread, one about the own Osterreichring track.

Yes otavio, i want to be sure it has no more problem first, please try it and see if it's OK or it needs more work; I've remade the build files so it's easy to change everything ;)

Hard to say, Ginetto. In testing with 6 drivers we had no probs before or after your fix but then they dropped like flies in the race.

I was one of the drivers that got discoe'd that Frenchy mentions in the above post

Here's what happened:

Lap 10 of 19
about 100m past Boschkurve
no changes to frame rate during race or before disco - constant 36fps
computer just froze ..all I could do is Cntl-Alt-delete and close GPL in the task manager.

Thanks Ginetto for working on a fix for Zeltweg  :) It would be a shame to have to can this great track!

Tonight we had a league race at Salzburgring 74 using the 66 mod, all drivers in Brabham 2.5L. After a few practice sessions over the last week or so with no problems and indeed qualifying for 40 mins, 11 cars, we started the race and on lap 2 about 5 of us had screen freeze, in my case I had to manualy switch off the computer and reboot just to exit. While chatting with the other drivers in Igor, one by one the rest of them were booted from the race (unsure if all were screen freezes but for sure the first 5 of us had the same problem). Before half distance, all were gone. We ran a race at Monza on the server to test the server and had no drama's, although there were only 6 of us in the Monza server. Has this track had problems in the past?

Shame I didn't see it before. Funny though, how it ran all right in practice and qually, also ran fine all week and for 2 races in 67F2's. (They've used it there on a number of occasions.)

I've raced a few league races here, (not more than 8 drivers, though) and I can't remember any problems.

I'm happy to report that your hard work seem to have paid off, Ginetto!

We just had two 65mod online events at Zeltweg and had NO PROBLEMS AT ALL".
There were 8 drivers each time (Wednesday and Friday) and everyone had this patch including the server.
We're planning to use it again.

Thanks for your great work Ginetto.  You gave us back a great track to race on. :)

I wouldn't want Ginettos fix for the original Zeltweg70 to get lost in the excitement of Zeltweg71 ... the Zeltweg update is beautiful, thanks Jackseller and team

but Zeltweg71 is still a heavy graphics load for some systems ... I have a mid strength system, and I get very low frame rates in some sections of Zeltweg71 ... when I use Ginettos fix with the original track, I get good frame rates, even against the AI and no stuttering, CTD or screen freeze ... I haven't tried it yet online with my league, but below is a testament from another group that indicates the original problems may be fixed ... GINFix was posted back in October, but I only recently found the thread ... I will test Ginettos fix online and report any problems, but all indications are positive ... Thank You Ginetto  :thumbup:
