Hello Everybody

Does someone know which is necessary for Igor to recognize mods as such?  When I host, for example, the GPL original cars but want to allow cars from some other mod to enter the server, it works fine... excepting with the 1967x mod.

I discovered that renaming the .exe of the 67x as 67-extra.exe it (almost) works, with the car that is incidentally selected within Igor or the mod.  But I could not select the car within Igor because all cars appear as "null. chassis" and doesn't give me the choice to select other car.

So, does somebody know if it's there some way to solve that from some .ini file or easily editable file in general?

Thanks for any clue

Marcos.

Wish I could help Marcos but I am very busy at the moment. I would have no idea where to start as well. :(

Overall, I think there must be some file giving to igor the name of the chassis of the mod. In the 67x that file is maybe lacking...
I  wondering if such a file is a plaintext one that I could add to the install.

Thanks for any clue

Macos I do not know anything about this stuff
but I have the idea that it is a similar problem we had with the "Legends of GPL" mod and iGOR.
This is solved! Look in this thread...

EPH file is the one that gives the ID rank and has to be unique;

I don't know if also iGOR needs a proper EPH file to work.

I discovered that one of the problems is the space in the id of the carsets (e.g. "1967-extra 7").

It's still not clear to me if that's the single one or are there any other things preventing igor to recognize it adequately.

Until the moment I could host and enter the server through igor but it works only with some cars... with others (as those of the last slots) gpl can't connect the server. It does as if it was on race, instead of qualy.

The impossibility of hosting with v1 rasterisers is evidently a different issue, and possibly I'll can't do nothing in that point...

Marco the mod needs V2 rasterizer, but that is no problem hosting with a linux server here. (GPL is in a 640x480 window!)

Afair the carset 7 is exactly the same physics as it is the original GPL 67....

So it makes the mod obsolete if you drive 7 with other tracks!

Hi Axel!

Yes, linux is certainly an option but this server is not mine. I host remotely.

Did You host by igor? Did the mod check of igor worked?

Cheers. Marcos

No, I have never tried it because I read the opening post...

These are purely for the offline GPLer. They are NOT for online or ranking. If someone wants to help with putting together 600 online skins let me know and we can make an online carset.

Ok... Would be great to have an online carset but until I was researching, the skins are only a minor problem.  The single problem is that cars have no numbers...

Cheers, Marcos.

I think it would be better to do an 8th carset that uses the same physics as number 7. It could have a separate generic ai entry and cars numbered for online.

If you can do a set of 20 numbered skins 1-20 for a folder I will try find some time to show you how to do the rest. It is easy work but would take a while. Then you have to do the same for the other 30 folders.

THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!

I'll try to do it.  JonnyO explained me how to do the skins, but I'll ask by here if I have some problem.  I just have to organize my time... :)

By the way, does somebody have figures of numbers (alone) that I could combine with the skins?  It would help a lot.

Also, would be some way to modify the volume of the sounds of different cars? For example, when you drive a Lotus and have a M5A close to you, it's almost impossible to hear your own engine given the much louder BRM in the Mclaren...  It's just a minor issue, actually.

Thanks!

Marcos.
