Hi, my name is Tony and I run GTL over at Simracing.co.uk.

I wasn't sure where to post this question so I apologise if this is in the wrong area?

Some while ago I became aware of a superb GTL mod converted from an RFactor mod which had been based (taken?) from an original GPLEA mod. I was also informed that the author of the GTL/RFactor versions had not received permission to use some part of the GPLEA work. I'm not sure which part, sorry.

Although this mod is currently run on other GTL hosting site's, and is a very good mod which I would love to use at SROUK, I would really feel better about using it if we could get sanctioned by the GPLEA team.

So I'm hoping that maybe someone from GPLEA will say it's ok for us to use it?

That's it basically.

Cheers

Tony

Think they are all gone on to other things and don't care anymore...afaik none of them have recently responded to requests for permissions.
Just wait for one of them to complain, then don't respond.
:)

You could give them credit for their contribution and thank them.

Gustavo Olivera was the key man behind the GPLEA cars.  He was recruited by Simbin and worked on GT Legends.  I guess he would have no objection.

The GPLEA originally objected because of the poor quality of conversion to rFactor and the rather "relaxed" approach to the physics of the mod. Over the years, the quality of the conversion has improved as I understand has the the quality of the physics.
