Make sure that you are using the v1.1 of the track. Do not use v1 as it does not have the CTD fixes included yet!
In case you have missed it, Jim has released  a cummulative update to v1.1 FULL and LITE on 11 July 2019.
Use the also recently released "Long Draw Distance 3DO" only on very powerful systems!

I recommend that you do a test start and a short race (drive at least the first part of the track) with about 5-6 AI cars (5-6 AI cars are enough as you won`t see more cars around you as we do a "Rally start") to check if your FPS are fine. In case you have FPS problems try the 1.1 LIGHT version.

I heartily concur with brother Keith.  For my first online experience, other than testing, I had a ball.
Be sure to notify Jim that he should be receiving my landscaping bill very shortly.

Thank you, Stefan !

Thanks Stefan for the organisation!!

What a nice event this was.
Racing with you Keith and Greg made this event more special.
Good to see Doni, Pascal and Fab13 on "our" server.
I hope this online racing tasted for more to you!

My emotions got in all different directions.
Nervous at the start,
Anxious when I had to pass the crashing Fab13
Waiting for the next lap, knowing that the 1e lap was only the start and would not be our fastest.
Agitated when I made a mistake in the 2e lap.
Little frustrated when I finally had 3 sectors right and cot a CTD.
Hopeful, alert, etc etc.

I encounterd many mini freezes.
When drivers left and enterd the server and with chat.
Scary moments that made me realise you also need some luck to get a great lap.
Finally after 6 laps I was Grateful and happy with my new PB.

Congratulations Paul! Amazing time.

Thanks guys for the thrill, it was a honor to race with you.

Thx for the feedback guys.
Nice that you enjoyed it. I also did. :)
I was a bit under stress as I got home late just before the start.
While you all were joining I was taking care of my Pizza. :)
After the rally start, I had to care for stuff at home, that`s why I joined later.
But I still had enough time for three laps.

Grats to Paul for the fastest lap and winning.
I guess an fast driver could even manage a 17 minutes lap with a 65 car.

Next time I will set such an event at the weekend. That will make it easier for drivers of different time zones.
I know Jim Pearson wanted to join us but our start time was 4 a.m. for him.  :shifty:

Technical problems we had:
Fabian: Freeze
Pedro: CTD

Do you guys remember the area (maybe even the corner name) where it happened?
Maybe it is something that can be solved by Jim?
Did anyone else have a CTD or freeze?

Thanks to Stefan and GPLRacer for organizing.  Made for a fun time!

Scintillating times from Paul and Pedro.  Amazing stuff, gys!  Keith, Yannick and Stefan himself no slouches either.  Well done to Pascal and Fabian for putting up most creditable times and a special nod to Greg for taking part in his very first online event.  Brutal intro there, bud.  Good on ya!

Rather disappointed in my performance as I felt that a sub-20 minute performance was certainly within reach.  I am quite comfortable for the first 1/3 of the lap and not bad up on the Mountain but my knowledge and comfort zone for the middle third of the course is rather spotty.  Needs much work to get the rhythm down pat.

Thanks for organising.
Good to see Doni, Keith and Greg as well as some of the usual suspects on the server.

No technical issues.

Fantastic track but you need to know it well. Despite many previous laps I am still learning and made mistakes.
